Peterloo Medical Centre is great. Appointments and telephone consultations are available and even weekend appointments within the area. Staff are always really helpful and informative. I went to see Dr Zaman about a possible kidney stone. Through the additional tests he did, the reason I had been suffering from nerve pain for 15 years was identified. I am very grateful for the care my family and I have received at Peterloo.
Recently moved to this practice. Needed an appointment, submitted a request on Patches this morning at 10.09am and was seen in the surgery at 10:45am. Very quick, efficient and great service. Communication was great the entire time. DR Mahmood was amazing, checked my records, ensured everything was correct. Took the time to understand my history and listen. Really easy to get an appointment no stress. Very friendly receptionist and clean practice.
I feel so lucky to be a patient at Peterloo, the Doctors are all very caring, thorough and friendly. All of the support staff including nurses, reception and admn team are excellent. The updated phone system now makes it much easier to get an appointment when needed. My family have nothing but praise and total confidence in the practice. Thank you to the management team.
Been at this surgery all my life but since covid it has turned into an absolute nightmare. People shouldn't have to ring up 300+ times in the morning just for the rude receptionist to tell you no appointments ring again tomorrow. The best appointment I've had out of ringing them in the past 3 years is getting a phone appointment with a locum Dr at 9pm from a different gp's. I suffer from migraines and the medication I'm on doesn't work but they refuse to listen and try me on anything else which is now affecting my work and home life. Its gotten to the point I put a complaint in with Rochdale Health Alliance and they tried to get me a face to face app and Peterloo still refused to give me one, it resulted with me having an argument with the receptionist over the phone, I didn't catch a name but she was so rude and condescending. Now I can't even get through it either says line busy or the phone lines are down. All in all if you're looking for a new gp surgery DO NOT go to this one because they don't care about their patients.
For doctors who earnt on average 2019/20 financial year was £72,590 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 7 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months is a slap in the face to it's patients. Disgusting!!! Shocking service. 660 calls from 8am to around 9am and still not able to get an appointment. This has to stop. You are penalised if you are working and can't call at 8am. I have been trying and trying to get an appointment with no luck. You can try for days and days and still no appointments, word of advice, report to PALS if you are very poorly or, lodge a clinical incident. This practice needs to shake up their policies. Last time I lodged a complaint (which went nowhere) because the receptionist was laughing at me down the phone. GP didn't believe me which was absolutely horrendous. never quite known anything like it. They want you on the books but, don't look after you. Shocking service. Please avoid this doctors if you are poorly!
I think the fact you can’t get a face to face appointment is criminal. Ended up really ill and in hospital because this lazy surgery couldn’t be bothered to do a face to face appointment. Just go urgent care instead, they will actually see you
If it would allow I would put zero stars!! I have been new on the area for three months and am still unable to get a face to face with the doctor even though I have explained several times I have a problem with my skin and telephone consults and email pictures do not work!! You will never get an appointment for telephone consult because the phone is constantly engaged from 8am till about 9.30. If and when you get through you are told they are fully booked and to call again the day after for the same antics. The receptionists are horrific and unsympathetic (only way to describe it is 'dead in the heart') do not know how to deal with patients with illnesses. I really think they should reassess their career choices if they come across so grumpy 80% of the time I have come in contact with them! Major improvements are needed at this surgery and I would strongly advise to avoid this place at all costs!!
Never get through! When I do there isn't any appointments! Absolute joke of a doctors. No stars what so ever. I have just called and the rude receptionist started to speak over me whilst I was still speaking to tell me yet again no doctors. How is it even a doctors. Its Friday n I've rang everyday. It's an absolute joke. You need closing down as you cause more stress than it's worth.
