If I could give 0 stars if I could. I was born in Urmston and was at Urmston Group Practice til late teenage years, moved around and came back and signed back up. It's not the same doctors surgery that we used to know and love on Church Road. The receptionists need to go on a humility and compassion training course because their actions or there lack of are directly affecting peoples health and mental health. The receptionists also like to try and It seems to be a common theme that one or two of the receptionists (not all) do not seem to have any level of care or sympathy towards their patients. They forced me into crisis because I missed a phone appointment at 18:30 when my appointment was supposed to be 14:45. Apparently they tried to call me twice but number was dead. I know this to be untrue because not only did I not get any notifications that they tried to call but I also have a voicemail as well and they could have left a message. So when I call the next day )which was a friday) to find out what's happened and if I was going to have an appointment then rather than the one that didn't happen the day before. I was met with the usual "you've got to make an appointment, you'll have to call on monday" Despite the fact it was mental health tablets that I needed a review on, for them to use a poor excuse of "it didn't go through" when my phone is connected to wifi calls as well. I was so upset after it all I just told the woman if they aren't going to take me seriously I'll do something serious for them to take notice. No call back, no duty of care, no safeguarding, no making sure I wasn't going to do anything stupid. NOTHING. Then I received a very SNOTTY letter from the practice basically telling me off for saying what I said to the receptionist without even acknowledging that had they of cared or done their jobs, I wouldn't have been in meltdown mode and said what I said. So off the back of that, I have sent a complaint to them TWICE about the whole disgrace of a situation and I have yet to hear from them. Not even an acknowledgement. This review is my last hope that they see this and reply to me because if they don't then I'm going to go above their heads as it's becoming a joke at this point. Business are expected to acknowledge a complaint within 3 days and set out within that acknowledgement a time frame of when I should hear back from them. It's been months.

Have had good and bad experiences in the past, but my worst ever experience was with a member of admin staff today. Very poor communication/ listening skills, extremely rude during the whole discussion, and gaslighting at the same time. Obviously dislikes her job, but poor patients should not be at the receiving end of this. Of course my query was not resolved and I was blamed for that as well. Very unfortunate staff selection, this is the public face of the surgery and needs to be selected and trained appropriately.

Really happy with the care I received from the Reception staff, Wendy was very helpful and patient with me sorting out my details, she really deserves five star's, thank you.

I have never had any issues in 7 years at this surgery, I have seen a few different drs but all very good. The main thing for me though is you get appts pretty quick. Honestly the best drs I’ve ever been with. Fantastic receptionist staff too. Numerous times I have been given same day appointments. Confused why this isn’t atleast 4*.

Honestly I love this GP. Everyone seems to complain about the receptionist but every time i’ve been in there i’ve never had an issue at all they’re all very kind and friendly and very well clued up too! There’s great doctors at this practice- however there is a very small minority of doctors maybe 1 or 2 that you would have to be very unlucky to get. Careless, dismissive and unhelpful - however once you know who to avoid cough Dr Watson cough and find a doctor you get along with and who cares which is most of them tbh, you will have a good experience. I’ve had a really tough time the last month and have had many appointments and they’ve always been so helpful and reassuring. Actually left one of my appointments with a smile just feeling so grateful for them helping me and being generally so lovely. Dr Price is the best i’ve come across she’s the best! I literally never write reviews but I was curious what other people thought and was genuinely shocked. The emergency appointment system is much better from when they used to make you log onto AskMyGP at 8am. Now you can call anytime from 8am to around 12 noon and then that’s when they will start to triage all of their appointments in order or priority for that day. Much fairer, don’t have to be first in the queue just have to have a priority issue. Even routine appointments are quite good now too, longest I waited for an appointment on a routine basis was around 14days. Good for a routine appointment. The late evening appointments eg at 19:30 are a really good idea and very helpful. Only downside is the pharmacy is closed at those times so you’d have to wait till the following morning to pick it up from the pharmacy downstairs. Overall great practice par the couple bad apples.

Very insensitive receptionist regarding my own personal mental health. Told me i was ordering my prescriptions wrong and that i had to go through the doctors. When i tried to do this, they told me to do it the way i was doing initially. So rude and no care given at all.

Doctors are great, lets start with that, but the receptionists and office management are shocking bad. from cancelling appointments with no communication, to telling you wrong times for appointments, they are really bad. tip- don't ever request a call back because they one bell you then hang up

If I could I would give a zero star. Awful service. Lots of mistakes made and the receptionist are extremely rude. Impossible to get through the phone. The ask mygp request is from 8am to 12 and ask my GP is already offline at 8.11 am. Difficult and painful no follow up. Just the worse I have ever experienced in my whole life

been trying for the last few days to get an appointment and it is impossible. they auto reject your calls in the morning so you can’t even get through to anyone. not ill enough to go and A&E but can’t get through to my GP what a joke.

Excellent service and patient experience every time. I use the AskMyGP service on their website and I am always contacted swiftly and able to speak to a Doctor. Reception are also always very helpful and friendly. I honestly cannot fault this practice.
