   I found my experience with urology absolutely amazing. No issues with surgery and aftercare. I have several health issues a combination of which is exceedingly rare and difficult to manage. I was transferred from A&E at another hospital to stepping hill via ambulance with kidney stones. Surgery went smoothly and I was cared for by staff in HDU and then the ward extremely well. Usually I am very anxious to be in hospital due to the complex conditions I have. But I felt very safe and relaxed at the knowledge and understanding of my conditions the whole team had, the care I received from urologists, endocrinologist, HDU staff and ward staff, diabetic team, stoma care team was absolutely faultless.

   Been for a prostate biopsy today. I had been seriously dreading the proceedure. I have to say the team under Professor Andrew Sinclair were superb. All the staff I interfaced with were kind and careing and put me at ease. They communicated with me all the time and explained what was going to happen which made a massive positive impact on my experience. My dreaded fear was unjustified and I cannot thank the team enough for the treatment and care I received. I can highly recommend the Stepping Hill urolpgy dept. Incidently, the lady who answers the phone calls when you ring the department is excellent. She gets back to you with answers every time you ring. Thanks again.
