“Booked urgently, dismissed and refused service – totally unreliable, always deflecting with false claims.” This garage was completely dismissive and unwelcoming. I booked urgently at the last minute when they clearly had availability, yet once I arrived they claimed they couldn’t sort the car and pushed me off for days. In the end they refused to do any work at all. What’s worse, in every bad review they receive, they try to defend themselves by making false claims about customers. I have even contacted some of the people who left poor reviews before me, and they confirmed that the garage’s responses were completely false. This shows a pattern of behaviour: unreliable service, rudeness, and dishonesty when challenged. I only wish I had seen the many other poor reviews before booking. Strongly advise avoiding this garage.

Unreliable and unprofessional – Avoid at all costs. Absolutely shocking experience with this garage. They claimed to have done the MOT on Saturday, but when I asked what the car actually needed, they admitted they didn’t know and wouldn’t look into it until Wednesday. Despite me agreeing to leave the car, they then called back after the weekend to say they would not carry out any work at all and that I had to collect it. This is not just poor service — it’s unreliable, unprofessional, and misleading. Making claims without being able to back them up and then refusing to complete the work is unacceptable. They wasted my time, caused a great deal of distress, and left me with a failed MOT and no support whatsoever. I strongly advise against using this garage. They cannot be trusted to deliver even the most basic level of professionalism or reliability.

My screen washer pump had stopped working. My car needed a full service and it was due for its MOT. So I searched very carefully for a trusty garage, who would do a good job without ripping me off. West Yorkshire Autos came up trumps According to my survey and I wasn't disappointed. They collected my car, did a first class job and returned my car in a very courteous manner, presenting me with an extremely respectable bill for the work done. My research was right and I will definitely be using this company for any future work. Well pleased.

If I could give a 0 I would. Avoid at all costs. I don’t even know where to begin. Communication is absolutely shocking. Had my car for best part of a year, with no real explanation as to what was happening with it. Was left for months at the side of the road (if they had been honest with me from the start that they didn’t have time for it, I would have had it recovered again to somewhere that could). Had to fight to get the car back. Told it was fine when we collected it. Within 30 mins of driving it the engine light was on, whistling from the engine and a knocking sound. Not to mention the absolute state of the car, full of oil inside and all over the boot, and the scratches on the car body. We did call them back about the work and was not surprised at all the response that we got - absolutely useless. Now having to save to have a real garage look at it, after feeling absolutely ripped off. Adding following the response from the garage… Thank you for following this up. It doesn’t take a year for parts to come for a car… the car was sat at the side of the road for months untouched with cement dust from the neighbouring unit. As I said above if there were staffing issues you should have let us know and we would have taken it elsewhere. You do not even begin to understand the impact and stress this whole experience has been. Yes we did have to fight to get the car back, to the point I had to start ringing and asking for updates, and were given vague reasons. All the emails and phone calls have been saved as a result of this and in a couple of times the stories change as to what exactly is wrong with the car. (I appreciate more issues were uncovered, but one day you advised of one thing that you were working on and the next contact I had, the issue that you were previously working on didn’t exist). If it wasn’t for myself or my husband I really do believe there would have been no contact. Even when you promised contact daily, there were gaps, where again we had to contact you. The vehicle was an absolute mess, why would I make something like that up! It was still covered in cement, the oil in the boot wrecked the boot liner and the carpets. Oil in the drivers seat and the door. Again why would I make this up? I saw it with my own eyes. We were willing to let all the other issues pass, but the icing on the cake was as soon as we took it anywhere the engine light came on, which is exactly what you said had been fixed. There is no way that we would have brought the car back given the service that we received and also the heartbreak that it had caused. Im not dismissing the extra work you did, but considering the amount of time it had taken I think it was the least you could have done. But again the contact was so vague and sparse, we had no idea what had happened to the car. This is an honest opinion of my dealings with this company.

The heating stopped working in my car so had an Auto Electrician look at the problem and was told my heater motor and cabin filter needed to be replaced. I bought the parts at a cost of £420.00 and then asked 2 local garages if they could do the fit the parts. Both garages told me it was a big job,as they would have to dismantle the dashboard, would take a couple of days and would be expensive and not something they could spend the time on. Looking on the internet I found West Yorkshire Autos and gave them a ring. The guy told me they could fit the parts and labour would be £80.00. They also offer the service of picking up the car from my home and returning it. As I live around 7 miles from their garage this was definately an advantage.I booked the car on and they arrived on time on the day to pick my car up. Later in the day one of the mechanics rang me to say it wasn't my heater motor which was the problem but something called a resister and that he could get the part and do the job and still fit my new heater motor too seeing as how I had bought a new one. They did the work in a couple of days and it was a tricky job having to take all the dashboard out and even take off the doors to get access. Thinking it was going to be a lot more expensive then the original quote I was not looking forward to the bill. When he told me the bill I was to say more than surprised....they charged me £80.00 for labour which they had originally quoted me. I have to say that I am more than happy with the work and will be using them again for my service and MOT and any other owrk that will be needed on my car. What a pleasure to find a trustworthy and honest garage who charged me what they quoted.
