Very fast at completing a service. Expected my car to be there all day but was ready to collect in a few hours. Reasonable price for service and mot
Leaving this review reluctantly as I don't like giving 1 star reviews. Car went in for a service and needed a spring replacement. Long story short but what should have been a £400 bill turned into what would have been a £1300 after a bolt snapped. I didn't feel the service was transparent in terms of possible costs and I raised the issue with owner. Owner was on the defensive, I was told different versions of the same event and zero customer service. Even after a resolution was found, the end price still wasn't fully transparent until I queried it and asked for a written estimate. In the end my bill was just shy of £700 but that was after a morning of arguing and backwards and forwards via email. It shouldn't be that difficult and if it was possible to do the job for £700, why wasn't that solution offered in the first place? In addition the courtesy car I was given in there interim was grim. There was half drunk water bottles in the centre console, chewed chewing gum in the door pocket and rubbish on the back seat and in the boot. It also had zero fuel so I had to leave and put fuel in..When I was offered a replacement i wasn't about to swap when I'd stuck half a tank of fuel in. I don't expect a top of range car, but clean would have been nice.
I brought my car to LHA Car and Commercial Garage for its MOT, and the service I received was nothing short of outstanding. The team went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of thoroughly and professionally. Not only did they carry out the MOT efficiently, but they also identified a couple of minor issues that could have become bigger problems down the line. The staff were friendly, honest, and genuinely seemed to care about keeping my vehicle safe and roadworthy. It’s rare to find a garage that combines technical skill with such excellent customer service. Highly recommend LHA Garage they go the extra mile, and it shows.
Great Garage. Plenty of parking space and local. Went in with a broken spring got quoted a decent price and advised not to waste money changing a second spring. Other time went for a diagnostic suspecting issues with suspension and once again got advised there was no need for any works being done. This is all despite me saying upfront that I'm clueless when it comes to cars.
I've used LHA for over 10 years now and have always found them to be very helpful and good value. This morning I called them as I had a problem with my car which needed dealing with. I'm in the middle of a really busy week and was dreading my car being off the road but the issue was with the brakes and I daredn't put off dealing with it. Rang them at 8.45am to see what availability they had to take a look and quote for the repair. I was told I could drop it off straight away for them to look at. They even had a courtesy car available so that I could get back to work and carry on with my busy week without interruption. Having dropped it off just after 9am, I got a call at 11.30am to explain what they had found, which was in line with what I expected based on the symptoms, and what the cost was. On asking when they would be able to have the repairs complete I was told that they should have it ready by the end of the day. Can't fault them for the service that they provide, how quickly they're able to respond and even the cost (though not cheap) is very reasonable for the work required. I changed jobs 4 years ago which means that LHA are no longer the most convenient garage for me to get to, but other garages closer to home are either much more expensive or don't provide the same level of service/quality of work, so I keep coming back to LHA time after time as I know I always get what I expect from them.

From 1st telephone enquiry to job completion (regassing air con) I was dealt very efficiently. They stuck to the quoted price and I able to wait for the job doing. Can easily recommend.
Failed MOT due to a light coming on when brake pedal was held down, this is a fictory fitted electronic parking brake!!! Quoted me £380 for 2 brake pipes that cost me £180 at a reputable garage. AVOID!!!
After reporting an electrical fault that was causing fuel issue which I believed was on the glow plugs,I left the car with the garage only for them to call me out of work as they couldn't get the car started to get it into the workshop I had to drive from work to start the car for them, then 2 days later I was told they could not complete the work as they thought the injectors would need to be removed and sent off which I didn't believe were at fault. I then went to collect the car and was asked to pay for them telling me it was either injectors or electrical fault which I refused as they did not diagnose the fault , I had the car taken to another garage who took 2 hours to diagnose and repair the electrical fault to the to the glow plug relay and connectors now have the car back running perfectly wouldn't ever use this garage ever again, expected me to pay small fortune having injectors removed and tested when then fault was a £12 relay and a couple of damaged wires avoid like covid !
