The stay at The Tytherington was faultless. Super comfortable room and sumptuous bed and all facilities. Highly recommend.

This was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced, which is such a shame because aesthetically the hotel has so much potential. Unfortunately, the biggest issue throughout our stay was the staff, and this began even before our visit. Due to an unexpected issue, I needed to leave the hotel earlier than planned, meaning we would miss our pre-paid breakfast by around five minutes. I emailed ahead to ask whether the hotel could accommodate us in any way - either by allowing access to cereal slightly earlier, or by moving the breakfast booking to an evening meal, with me paying any difference. I was informed this would not be possible, with no greeting or courtesy in the response. I then suggested waiting until breakfast officially opened and asked whether it could be taken away, but was told to find out in the morning. Again, there was no reassurance or willingness to help, and none of the email correspondence showed basic politeness or customer care. Any suggestion I made was met with the repeated response of, “as I previously said get a refund through booking.com.” This was particularly frustrating as I was not concerned about receiving a refund; I simply wanted to ensure my children could be fed before we left the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, the man on the front desk was miserable, not only towards me but towards all guests checking in. The service was so poor that we chose to leave the hotel entirely for our evening meal. During the whole visit, the only friendly member of staff we encountered was one individual working poolside. The room itself was acceptable, however the overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. Carpets throughout the hotel were visibly stained. The bed contained popcorn left behind by a previous guest, and the sink had not been properly cleaned, with toothpaste stains still present. We had to call for sugar and milk and were still not provided with enough. Due to the way we were made to feel like a nuisance, we chose not to ask again. The room was also very cold, but I did not raise this at the time as I was trying to avoid further negative interactions with staff in front of my children, as I did not want it to ruin their visit. In hindsight, the tone of the email correspondence should have been taken as a warning. Sadly, the experience reflected that initial impression. I would not return to this hotel and would advise others to avoid it.

We went for 18 holes as I’ve not played here in 17 years, it didn’t disappoint at all. We were greeted at the golf reception by the manager and assistant who were extremely polite and helpful. We were escorted outside and advised about the practice area, facilities and towards the first tee. The course is extremely well kept but were advised some GUR and development of some sand traps. The fairways and greens are superb and some of the best I’ve seen this summer and a congrats has to go to the ground staff who were very efficient as they were making sure all greens were free from leaves blowing debris away. Tytyerington GC you did not disappoint at all, we will certainly be back and would love to play again!!!! Thank you, some great golf was played.

We returned for just a one night stay after a fantastic week here last year. Our Room was excellent, I requested a small fridge for my son’s medicine which was all set up ready on arrival. The Facility’s are great, especially the swimming pool. Prompt room service. The hotel is spotless. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delivered to the room was a lovely finishing touch. Great stay I would definitely recommend

Really lovely hotel very clean and staff were all really friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The spa facility’s were really good. Had a facial at the spa and it was absolutely amazing best I’ve had. Only complaint is the food we had a meal in the evening which to be honest was at best basic but the breakfast was to be honest abysmal cooked food was cold ,infrequently replenished. No mugs for coffee, juices are watered down and horrible. The fruit was basic and bland. There was zero choice for a vegan and absolutely nothing for a coeliac member of our group. Really need to do better !!

Very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, the bathroom is clean with the a good shower. The gym and the pool area is great. Very helpful and welcoming staff specially Sean. The only negative thing is the lack of variety for the breakfast since only English breakfast is available. Continental Breakfast should be offered since international people comes to the hotel.

Quick overview for three night stay with young child. Very helpful & efficient reception/check-in. Beautiful, clean, warm, well serviced bedroom. The only hot food available is bar food in the cafe. Such a let down! The little one largely only eats pasta & they ran out..crisis! Fabulous health club…surely the Spa bath is the most perfect in the country? Big, v warm, comfortable, sublime setup inc lighting/setting. Overall strongly recommend.

Used to be amazing. Prices of gym keep increasing. No more free towels for the gym members who pay nearly 100 pounds a month. Creche used to be free but now is paid for every session. Once the hotel started, it’s no more a members club but a very average and expensive place. Management needs to keep a tab on customer experience.

The bed was very big and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with great toiletries provided. Breakfast options aren’t great with the buffet breakfast and the pool hours are awkward with children unless your day is to be spent at the hotel solely. Don’t forget to ask for more towels to the room as even as a resident of the hotel you have to pay £2 non refundable for each towel for the leisure facilities. As couple/hen/stag party this place is great, family not so much.
