   had all disc and pads replaced on my lexus, unknowingly they allowed a unqualified traveller boy do the work (i was told j was only mechanic) it was jay I wanted to do the work as I tend to only go on recommendation, he did a brake inspection of entire system. the only things needing replacing were pads. I did the discs as it due MOT soon n saves time .calipers and Hobbs. I were told we're fine. the owner is a lovely guy and his price are reasonable but at the end of the day I drove my car home with my 5-year-old in car wasn't driving right stunk burning and the amount of smoke coming from my front tire. I generally thought the car was going up in flames !! clearly the man's work wasn't checked by the mechanic as he would have seen the spacer had been left on. you can argue whatever you want about calipers but that should never ever left like that, qualified mechanic would have noticed, the caliper had seized on allowing to exceed 650° it scorched the discs and maybe even pitted the brakes. mobile mechanic diagnosed the problem did the work, the garbage did say I could take the car back to them even off to fetch it which I thought was good of them but never again. will I let them touch my car? why would I take it back after what's happened with my brakes?, when I took the car out after the caliper had been replaced it drove better but I smelt that burning again went to check the brakes , my back alloy was red hot to and behold, the caliper seized alloy was damaged the mobile mechanic had to hit off the caliper with a lump hammer to say they just been taken off and put back on. this should never have needed hitting like it did to get it off . I tried to negotiate with the garage to cover the cost of the parts. I even said that I would cover the labour costs as in all fairness and as he did offer to do it I thought I'd be right an additional £350 it costs me to get my car back on the road. if my brakes are pitted then I'm going to need a whole new replacement . main concerns as well. the owner doesn't know anything about cars and are not an accredited business with the ombudsman, hopefully trading standards and the DV LS will have a look in helping me claim the money owed otherwise I'm going to have to take him to court. is more the danger side that concerns me that the vehicle wasn't even checked before I fetched it to make sure it was okay , if I had an accident and anything had happened to me or my son or anybody else he would have been liable for a death it would never have passed an mot in that state so it should never have been allowed to leave an mot station in that state, especially when they caused the problem. I generally I'm disappointed and feel like I've been violated because I'm female. well unfortunately this female knows her rights and laws , obviously if I come to some sort of satisfied agreement going forward with the garage then I will remove this feedback so if it's still on here it means I've been ripped off,

   Amazing service from a great garage. Lovely guys who own it and cannot do enough for you. I was stuck getting to work and they lent me a car for a few days so that I wasn’t left stranded- a garage that goes above and beyond and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
