   I had a really disappointing experience at Equator Halesowen. My daughter had gel nails done, and within less than a week, they began peeling. She washed her hair the day after getting them done and noticed that the gel had been applied over the cuticles, which caused lifting and irritation whenever she tried to do anything with her hands. Proper nail prep, including cuticle removal, was completely skipped. We returned to the salon the following Saturday to have the nails removed or redone. The salon was busy with other customers, so the technician said she would soak the nails and redo them. I specifically asked how much it would cost, and she clearly said it would be free on Saturday, so we assumed, given the quality issue, it would be corrected at no charge. However, when we returned for the actual redo, she claimed it would be £23 because “she didn’t cause the issue.” She also falsely said that she had told us this on the phone when we rearranged the appointment, which is untrue. There were no other customers at that point, and she seemed to be changing her story. On top of that, I had a pedicure done myself, and the dead skin on my feet wasn’t removed properly at all. It felt rushed and incomplete. As for my daughter’s nails, not only were the cuticles not trimmed or pushed back before the gel was applied (a basic and essential step), but the gel was painted right over them, leading to peeling. Her French tips even chipped on the middle finger within days. Overall, the experience was poor from start to finish. Lack of proper technique, poor customer service, and no accountability. I would not recommend Equator Halesowen to anyone looking for professional nail services. It may be cheaper than others but not worth it at all.

   Ear piercing - fantastic staff, so kind and helpful. My daughter was so nervous to have her ears pierced although she had wanted it for so long. Not only we’re the staff kind and gentle with her they didn’t rush her and eventually she had them done and loves them. Thank you so much

   Do not go there to get acrylic nails. The woman who did my nails was very friendly but took 2 hours to just do Infills, the gel on my nails was uneven and bumpy and nails were all different shapes. Less than a week later my acrylics started falling OFF! The nails haven’t even grown out yet but they are all peeling and falling off my fingers and causing me a lot of pain. I now need to pay to get these things soaked off and proper acrylics put back on. Would definitely NOT recommend. Waste of money
