   Feeling really disappointed with this practice. I joined in October, had a filling done. Ended up in horrendous pain. In fairness to the dentist, she did say it may not work. The pain became too much and I ended up getting an appointment to fix it. I was provided with antibiotics and told to book root canal treatment asap. It came apparent that the next appointment available wouldn’t be for a whole month. Respectfully, the receptionist said she could fit me in after 2 weeks after moving appointments around. I’m a private patient and honestly didn’t expect to have to wait so long to be seen, especially being charged £750+ for the treatment. That night, the pain became unbearable and I ended up calling 111, I got seen to by a dentist in a different place. They managed to start the root canal treatment there and then and the pain has gone! Costing around £27. I just feel really disappointed, Bupa use to have a really good reputation caring for their patients. It just seems they have too many patients and unable to fulfil treatments when needed. I have this smile plan so I’m stuck with Bupa for a year. But any dental treatments needed other than a check up or clean, I’ll be going elsewhere.

   Past: 1. The dentist appointment had Joss on January, while it had a swap into Joss’ big brother Cash, on June 2024. 2. On March and April 2025, Joss had a dentist teeth operation at a bigger dentist in South Elmsall, Pontefract. Future: 3. At South Elmsall, Pontefract, Joss has a teeth checkup by a dental company on October or November 2025. 2 now complete! Thank you, Joss McClay

   took my autistic son and saw a lady think she was Chinese not sure, she's a credit to your team. Explained everything from brushing his teeth correctly with a electric toothbrush and gave him a mirror to show him the plaque on his teeth. amazing woman thank you!!

   My husband lost a filling over the weekend, so phoned yesterday morning and was given an appointment today at 9.10. Anna his dentist discussed the options available to replace the filling and carried out the work painlessly and efficiently, allowing us to enjoy the rest of our day. Would recommend 100%

   I had to find an NHS dentist quickly when my usual dentist closed. I was lucky enough to get registered with Bupa at Askern. I have had several visits to them and cannot praise them highly enough; especially Anna( dentist) and the dental nurses. They have always been welcoming and kind and patient. Anna always explains the treatments she is about to give and why and totally puts you at ease. Would definitely recommend ( and have done) to other people.

   Finding a dental practice where you feel confident that the service you receive is friendly, professional and offers you options on the treatment available is very hard to find. A practice that is very busy and yet finds the time for you and treats you with individual respect and care. Bupa Dental Care Askern offers me this. I initially came to this practice as an emergency appointment and I have since registered as a private patient using a health care plan its affordable and dental check ups and treatments are value for money.

   Extremely happy with the service provided. I have used BUPA Dental Care in Askern for approximately six years. I have been fully informed throughout any of my treatments. Ivan is very caring and has fully supported me with any anxiety I may have. The care and treatment I have received has been excellent and I highly recommend this service.
