I have gone to this place to get a lot of problems fixed on my AW11. Alex is an absolute legend and is an amazing person in the MR2 Community, and in general! Got an MR2? Need some work doing or some advice? Get it to Alex at Mr MR2 ASAP. I’ve had a few jobs done on my SW20 here, and I’m already planning the next one - I wouldn’t even think about taking it anywhere else. The work is quality, the knowledge is way beyond expert, the advice is honest, and the communication is like talking to a friend who cares about your car just as much as you do - and all for a better price than you’re going to get anywhere else. Seriously, these guys are the best, stop reading this review and give them a ring!
Alex, talks a good job but delivered a catalogue of errors including undertrays being ripped off on first drive away upon vehicle collection, camshaft pin not fitted resulting in cam dislodging, lower control arm bolt loose resulting in ride handling being dangerous after 300 miles. Over spray from Raptor undercoat on the brand new paint of my car resto. I will never trust this outfit to touch my car ever again. Stef is no better, when speaking to him about an issue he blame shifts to Alex which turns out is a separate entity but trading under MRMR2. This outfit will very soon be hearing from a very efficient solicitor. If you are considering having dealings with this outfit be very cautious. I spent £4000 with them and I am not happy.
Very helpful, was able to get everything I needed for a brilliant price. Will definitely be using again for future parts.
Alex recently did a timing belt and water pump change on my Gen 6 Celica, which shares the same engine with the MK2 MR2 (3SGE), using all original Toyota parts. The work was immaculate and good value. On top of this, Alex is very knowledgeable and friendly and explains all the work before it is completed. I would recommend any 90’s Toyota enthusiast to come here for any work done.
An MR2 enthusiasts heaven! Honestly excellent service visited last year and the knowledge and expertise the guys had was unbelievable from start to finish even refunding me for an ebay order which was paid through paypal with no issues. I forgot the guys name but he had an accent from europe cant remember but he was really friendly and so helpful thanks so much even if it was just for advice :)
I can't recommend the guys at Mr MR2 highly enough. Took my MK2 to another specialist and was very disappointed with the service. Alex is a credit to the community and goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service with regular photo updates and honest recommendations of works that need doing, even going as far as showing me all the parts afterwards to explain where it went wrong. Do not hesitate to bring your MR2 here, you won't be let down.
I have always been to Mr MR2 for my project MR2 and every time I have left with exactly what I needed, be it advice or parts or both. Steph and Alex are both incredibly knowledgeable and always answer any questions I have.
