   I've just collected my motorhome from Knollbeck Vehicle Services, where it had a full service, MOT, and habitation check. It had also developed a worrying oil leak. I chose Knollbeck because of their good reviews and the fact that they are an Approved Workshop. I was really impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of the work. Everything was carried out to a high standard, and the price was a lot cheaper than what I’d been quoted by the main dealer. Rich clearly knows his stuff and genuinely cares about doing a good job. Thankfully, the oil leak turned out to be caused by the filter having come loose—or not being tightened properly during the previous service by the main dealer! Rich is a great guy and highly skilled – I’ll definitely be returning and would happily recommend them to other motorhome owners.

   First encounter I took my car stating I thought it was an alternator problem, he decided it was crank shaft, it wasn’t but I was charged full price which was best part of £500 with my problem not resolved. He changed my alternator afterwards but I supplied the part and he charged me less at £60 labour to compensate for the previous. Had mine and my partners cars in for light repairs/service since which have been satisfactory but when I’ve approached him for heavier problems it seems to have been too much for him to take on due to health issues and I didn’t hear back from him since. Had to go elsewhere to get our motoring issues resolved which is a shame but I managed to find another local company that have helped me and done a great job, so my custom will now be going to them instead. I’d like to wish Richard all the best going forward as he’s not a bad guy and he is a good mechanic but I recently didn’t feel like my loyalty as a customer was fully appreciated and I did feel like I was at the bottom of his to do list.

   Rich sorted my caravan brakes and tyres out after recently having a blowout, all repaired and up and running within a week. Highly highly recommend this company and Rich is an absolute credit to the leisure industry. A++++++
