Car was in limp mode due to the DPF and other software issues. Took it in to SLT Remapping and it's sorted in around 4hrs. Top notch service, and the owner is genuine and knowledable.
Where to start here, what a result! I had previously had my car remapped at a very well know Mercedes specialist, which to be fair I thought i was happy with, until i took it to SLT. Shaun at SLT solved some issues, that i had been chasing for months, in a matter of hours. He pointed me in the right direction, in regard to a boost leak, showed me what specialist tools i needed, and explained the issues associated. After i had sorted that, the car went back to SLT, where Shaun custom tuned it. I had a stage 2 map and a gearbox tune. To say i am happy is an understatement. The car is incredible now, i thought it was good before but this is another level. The fuel economy and power are simply brilliant, 700nm of torque at 2.5k rpm, 40mpg on the motorway, fully loaded with 4 people. Not bad for a 3.0 diesel estate car with 150k miles in the clock. The car runs so nice, lovely to drive, i am well happy! If you want your car sorted then find Shaun, a great tuner, that will tell you exactly what your car is doing. Shaun is a straight shooter, he will give you the facts, if you cant handle the truth then don't ask, you know exactly where you stand with him, a no nonsense bloke, with years of experience, that knows his stuff. Due to botched work by another company I took my car to Slt. I have used this company previously and haven't had any issues. Not only did Shaun identify the cause of the initial problem, he subsequently found and replaced other parts which were faulty. A no nonsense approach, informative and his knowledge is second to none. Highly recommend.
Had my car in at SLT for a low power issue, They had the car for a few days to find the problem kept me updated on things daily. They went above and beyond with finding my issue extensive testing. 12+ dyno runs. Changing boost sensors. Smoke/Boost leak test. changed the Map file on the ECU end result after all testing was issue with a rebuild turbo! Definitely would highly recommend them they are very knowledgeable in what they do! wish I found them sooner, Will be back once new turbo fitted.
Had several cars remapped by Shaun at SLT over the years, and honestly do not have a criticism to pick. From start to finish Shaun and the team provided a welcome and honest service throughout, no hidden charges or made up nonsense, without a doubt Shaun knows his stuff and will not let you leave without his work being 100%. I was advised on my latest vehicle that the spark plugs may need changing, as this was not allowing the car to run as effectively as we wanted and throwing a small error up on the car - Shaun self diagnosed this problem and managed to sort some new plugs out, which was delivered within half an hour. A quick run later and the car was done and running 100%. Another great service at SLT would highly recommend to anybody.
Had an EGR issue back in 2018 on my 2011 A3, after being quoting £600 + VAT for a EGR change. I found Shaun, called him and explained the issue. He advised he can pick the vehicle up from the garage I left it and resolve the issue at a much cheaper price, increase in reliability and performance! Even better he had the car ready earlier than he quoted. Leaving this review 3/4 years later because I’ve referred some family and friends recently which have expressed how helpful Shaun is and his outstanding services.
Nipped up to SLT yesterday for my 4th car to remapped by these guys. i can honestly say that Darren and Shaun do a top job, they know their stuff and Shauns honest approach means you won't waste your money and you will not be disappointed with the results. i cannot recommend SLT enough and i am sure i will be using them for many years to come.
Once again for the 5th car running SLT have been amazing. Their remaps are excellent providing fantastic gains from a custom tune and for me they have proven to be 100 percent reliable over well over 100k miles! Do not hesitate, great company.
