Partington is a fabulous little theatre with a wonderful history. The volunteers are so welcoming both on productions and in all back stage/behind the scenes activities. It is a very inclusive group that run this theatre and they should be commended for all the hard work they put into making theatre accessible to all.
Great to see the contemporary dance performance 'shed' by the Northern Rascals dance company at the Partington. Such a great performance dealing with timeless issues in a contemporary way in a performance which really spoke to me. Wonderful to have touring acts perform at this venue (let's bring more if we can!) as well as traditional theatre performances by the players.
I don't even know where to start with how absolutely uniquely wonderful this place is - not in just its historically captivating aesthetics, but those who own/run it. We played here on the 27th July for our gig in the bar room, and we were blown away by the hospitality and treatment we were given. The staff, as well as the hosts who put on the night, the sound engineer, and everyone involved in this musical gem could just not do enough for us. They are an absolute picture of what all venues should be like. We were totally humbled by the entire experience. From the advertisement - putting up posters around town, to allowing us to have plenty of time for a sound check, and accommodating every want or need we had. We were honored to play here, and would recommend any band to approach them/accept their invitation to play here as well. We had my partners 40th birthday party at the Partington Theatre and it was absolutely amazing! Claire was so helpful in getting things organised. Ryan was amazing, so considerate and attentive from helping move chairs in the set up to making me a delicious mocktail later on! Everyone who attended loved it and commented on how beautiful the room was. Great price, fantastic location and amazing staff! Would highly recommend! Thank you Ryan! āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø
Excellent small amateur dramatic theatre and bar. New shows now taking place. Tribute acts are often booked. Lively atmosphere great place to visit.
Great little theatre, in the heart Glossop. Various productions put on throughout the year, including social evenings. The bar and clubroom has just been refurbished and looks beautiful, which is available to hire as a function room!
