   Whenever my hair needs a cut and/or a perm (curls/wavey), I always come to Sue at Studio 168. I've been coming to Studio 168 for multiple years now and I never leave disappointed. The only disappointment was when the location initially moved from the previous location at Selly Oak and I had to resort to finding a new hairdresser temporarily. Unfortunately, the results were never up to the standards set by Sue at Studio 168 when comparing quality and accommodation. To the point where despite living in the city centre and having dozens of options at my doorstep around Chinatown. I choose to travel out further to Studio 168 as it is always worth it. Sue is extremely kind, patient, and polite. Sue takes the time to listen to my requests and provides their own welcomed input. I once came in for the more expensive Digital Perm, not knowing which perm option would have been better for me. But Sue advised the cheaper (half the price) Cold Perm option instead as it suited my hair and hair goals more. Sue's honesty was much appreciated and goes to show that, instead of potentially going ahead with a procedure that would have costed me more money, Sue prioritised my needs instead over the businesses bottom line. It's always reassuring to know that, as someone who values a nice cut and style when it comes to hair. Sue is there, especially when it comes to Asian hair. Which from experience, is very hit and miss depending on where you go. I've been to many of the variety of options available in Chinatown and they often leave me disappointed, but not Studio 168! I've attached a few post cut, perm and style photos of myself as references. In order of hair length growth too. To show that even over a few weeks and months, the hair cut and style still holds well and does not need a constant touch up. Thanks again Sue! And as a happy customer, I will be coming back for future bookings for any future hair needs!

   I haven’t had my hair cut in years, so I was a bit nervous going in, but Sue was amazing from start to finish. I showed her a couple of photos for inspiration and she immediately knew what I wanted and was able to recreate it exactly. I haven’t been this happy with my hair in years. Sue was so kind and professional throughout and really took the time to explain everything, from the haircut itself to the way I should be styling it and which products are the best to use based on her recommendations. The whole vibe of the salon is so relaxing and I throughly enjoyed the whole experience. I’ll definitely be going back and I can’t recommend her enough!

   I booked the slot on their website and it normally needs two weeks. If you want a slot more quickly, you can call them so that they may check some walk-in appointments. Susan is nice and patient, she asked for detailed requirements of my mind. During the hair cutting, she asked several times to let me check if the hairstyle is ok. Really good service.
