We saw Ugly Duck by Deb McAndrew here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre itself is small and friendly with all seating close to the stage. The production was excellent with lighting through on-set skylight to mark the passage of time was a clever idea and the nudity of the life-model was handled really well. The performers were all excellent especially young Ellaika Villegas in the lead role of Kat. Great night out, great entertainment.

What a great little theatre! Great plays, musicals and pantomimes. There is something on all year round. Definitely try and watch something here on f you are visiting.. or even if you are a local!

My husband booked a surprise evening for us to see Macbeth. Upon arrival we were greeted by some lovely people and they were happy to answer a few questions we had. We arrived early as we’d read that the waiting area and bar can get a little busy. Drinks prices were reasonable and plenty of choice. I was pleasantly surprised when we then went through to the auditorium, it was bigger than I thought and everything looked great - the stage set was brilliant! The seats are comfortable and with a little break to stretch the legs helped. The theatre is set within a residential area so you may need to park and walk a little to it, this was no problem for us. I have to say the play itself was absolutely fantastic and well done to all the actors. The fight scenes were exciting, the weird sisters and their “bubbling” cauldron was great and the demise of Macbeth into utter madness was acted out brilliantly. We’ll definitely be visiting again. Our only disappointment is that we have to wait until next year to see another play - but we’ll definitely be there. Thanks for a great evening!

Mads or macc amature dramatic society, I have only been to a few shows but not for a fair while, they put on a really good show for the scenery and costumes at there hands, I would recommend giving them a try the prices they charge are reasonable, I found the best shows are round the Christmas holidays,

Brilliant. My wife is in a wheelchair and received a lot of help in finding an accessable position. Nothing was too much trouble. The show was a treat and a credit to the dance teacher.

This is a great place and what the theatre should be about ***Update 6th Dec 2021 - I visited again tonight to watch The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. This was an amazing production, the actors took the audience with them to the point the villain got boo'd at the curtain call. Takes real skill for a cast to stir the emotions of an audience in that way; If you are in Macclesfield and you want a night out, go here. I look forward to the next production.
