Interesting shop. Childhood memories here. Felt like I had gone back in time to an era of shops that I thought would be well past their sell by date. But interesting to see it's still open. It feels slightly post-apocalyptic.

Haven't shopped here for a couple years and was very disappointed it used to be very well stocked you could get anything you wanted but on this visit there was very little stock, limited cooking utensils, make up and toiletries also very cold in there.

I am a verified trusted online seller and use the Collect+ service TJ partake in to distribute my orders. With parking being a little way away I asked to use their backdoor to drop off my goods since some are very expensive and heavy to lift. The first time they had no issue and were very accommodating I believe his name was Adam. However this time I was greeted by a very passive aggressive team member who didn't say hi or anything just started with " this isn't a collection point, we shouldn't be doing this here." Even after explaining I was allowed to before and that the items are heavy and valuable he just took in the items without scanning them properly, gave me no receipt and shut the door. Considering this service provides the company with more diversity and they actually receive a % of the delivery you'd think he would have a better attitude. Over the 2 deliveries I dropped off Over £1,200 worth of stock and consistently move this amount every 2-3 days I definitely won't be using TJ hughes anymore and maybe a more local store instead. Poor

Used to be a good shop with good selection of items. Clothing department has gone down hill looks like they are selling clothes no other retailers want or can sell. Most shoes are size 10 and above don't think I will shop here anymore

Saw the set yesterday went this morning to buy them absolutely thrilled with them. They are hard wearing our neighbours have had same set for 9yrs plus. Bargain!!!

Always stuck in queue to pay for ages. Clothes styles leave a lot to be desired. Cater for over 60s. Nothing for the younger end. Although I did get a pair of bargain boots last week and a pair of slippers and a giant slipper for my daughter.
