   Been going to Carl for nearly 10 minutes I guess, 2 months actually, and now have monthly appointments booked, beyond Xmas! Highly recommended by one of my sons, a friend of his, Carl is gearing my beard, for a wedding appearance in 10 months time, not mine! If I have to go, I like to be in the starring credits! Old enough to be his Dad, we get on amazingly well. Nothing is off limits, we share a sense of old skool humour and attitudes, if not entirely music tastes? I dunno what he's like as a barber, shaved mine off 25 yrs ago, to fit in a scrum cap, but he likes a challenge, and I'm certainly that! Pick a subject, and we seem to connect,and have opinions, time flies far too quickly in Carl's chair! Even struggling to find a beard wax I got on with, the guy made me up a pot before my latest visit, and even offered to tailor them to my preferred aftershaves, should I require, oils too??? If I have a criticism, Carl underselling himself, and is too cheap, he's even awkward about taking tips? He undercuts my previous beard guy by almost 70%!! I'd trust this guy to trim my eyelashes, beats me why people stick 'em on! That puppy of his, is amazing too!

   The fact that Carl has so many 5 star reviews from so many loyal customers is testament to how good of a barber he is, but more than that I found he was a great laugh and very welcoming and friendly from the get go. This was my first visit but absolutely not my last! I have quite difficult south asian hair which most barbers struggle with but Carl negotiated the thick, unforgiving jungle with ease and all whilst having a great chat. I think I have found my new barber!

   If you're looking for a world class haircut, head straight here. Browns Parlour is as good as it gets. As well as being a top barber, Carl's a top bloke too. He transformed my tired man bun into a sharp new vintage-inspired style. 10/10
