   I’ve been going to Five Star Barbers for many years and sadly, through a number of different owners, I’ve seen the ability and service from staff get worse and worse. I went today and have decided that it’s just not worth going there anymore. As others have said in reviews, the barber’s grasp of English is poor, which is a big problem when trying to explain what you want. The chap offered me a rough looking chair to sit on that I felt almost fell apart when I sat down. He then started cutting and I felt that the scissors were pulling my hair as he cut. I asked were they blunt, but he did not understand. The manager managed to pull himself away from watching his Tik Tok videos sitting in the next door chair to me and said that the scissors must have been dropped. He then told the barber (in another language) to use the electric clippers. To be fair to the barber, he did a reasonable job of my trim after this. Sadly, although they were initially Five star, they are currently only One star.

   Awful do not do there! Didn’t listen to anything I said. Asked for my beared to be thinned abit and he cut all the length off. Unhygienic and clippers left my neck cut up. Clearly had no training and an obvious laundering front.

   Completely ruined my hair they cant cut hair what so ever and when I complained and showed them the obvious problem they tried telling me its meant to be that way absolutely ridiculous. Avoid this place. They dont deserve one star

   Very unhygienic, dirty and I do not recommend. The barber I had today did not talk English so explaining what I wanted was a long process. Also, this left me with not the utmost confidence No wet shave, I’m not sure he knew what he was doing as I had to keep reminding him to do things. Filthy place, don’t think I’d even take my dog there to be honest!!! AVOID

   Great haircuts, especially for the price! Go when it’s not busy or expect a wait. Also be aware that the location is actually opposite Mary Vale Road, not the location it says on Google Maps

   Lives up to its name. Excellent haircut and the best beard trim I have ever had. Very reasonably priced. The barber joked he would make me look 10 years younger. He not only achieved that, I actually feel 10 years younger as well.

   They are so nice here. My daughter had her undercut re-shaved at Headman's (avoid!) up the road from the salon and he messed it up leaving edges really wobbly. Five Star were so kind. The barber quickly straitened it up and didn't charge us. She has had a fantast paten shaved by them in it the past and we will definitely be sticking with them in the future. *****
