   Five stars. I have short hair which I am growing out and it is in that awkward phase where it's difficult to style. Went in for a trim with Abbie and not only did she trim it so it could continue to grow out, but it's a really nice haircut that I couldn't have imagined for my hair in this phase! Will be back and definitely recommend - thank you Abbie! Accessibility notes: no step to enter, standard size doorway, two small steps without a railing to washbasins. The stylists are highly approachable and I would feel confident and safe communicating accessibility needs to them.

   Had my hair "restyled" today at Fusion. I had very long waist length hair, and asked for 10 inches to be cut off for donation, and indicated where I wanted my hair to sit after smoothing out the edges. After leaving I felt the hair was way shorter than discussed, and I have measured the donation strands, which are 14 inches long! In addition to the 1-2 inches taken to even out my hair once done. You can imagine how upset I was as I no longer have "long" hair, and it's now at least 5 inches shorter than I asked for. It's nowhere near the length I showed in the 1 minute discussion (not the "in-depth consultation" you book) before she started cutting. A completely avoidable mistake if the stylist just measured the long length first before cutting. I was asked if it "looked right" before chopping, but it's incredibly hard to tell when it's all tied up, plus for £52 I expect the stylist would know what she was doing! Ultimately I feel angry, upset and ripped off by my experience. I can barely look at my hair without feeling betrayed and upset over my lost length that will take months to recover. I would not recommend anyone with extra long hair to go to this place as they don't seem to care about the importance of our length and the care that's gone into it. The only silver-lining is that now there is more hair to donate to someone else that needs it.

   My experience was wonderful! Abi was my stylist and she was fantastic, I would definitely come back to her. The service was attentive, warm and welcoming and the salon was clean and calm with nice ambiance of gentle music and conversation. I was offered a drink upon entry and my coat was taken, and the wait time was very short. I was very well taken care of, my needs were listened to and met easily and I was consistently asked throughout the process if I was happy and if I wanted to change anything. Abi explained every step of the process to me so I was comfortable and reassured at each stage. The end product is fantastic, I won’t go anywhere else for my hair now!

   I had my hair done yesterday with Hannah and my hair was left to develop for over 1hr30 and i left the salon with my hair difficult to run my fingers through and the ends were snapped and like straw, i tried to communicate to them via email about the situation and they told me to come in but due to personal reasons i can’t and they said they were not going to speak further and just replied with “we will wait for your call” my hair is incredibly damaged now and £100 down for highlights i don’t reccomend personally.

   I have been coming to Fusion for my hair for a year now and every time I walk out the salon feeling amazing ! Hannah Is an amazing hair dresser and listens to exactly how I want my hair. Hannah does my hair perfectly every time ! She always creates the blonde I love and the cut is always perfect. She goes beyond to ensure my hair looks and feels amazing. Hannah takes pride in making people feel their best and relaxed at the salon. I 100% recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a prosfesssioal stylist.

   I have recently moved to York and booked a restyling here based on the rank and location of this place on Google. I included a specific note indicating I have shoulder length curly hair and I would like to cut it short (with details), preferably cut dry. I get this haircut treatment every 2 or 3 years and this has been the worst cut by far. Firstly, when you book online, please be aware that they have random hairdressers that are not listed so when you choose "anyone", that means ANYONE not anyone on the list. The hairdresser I got was unfortunately not competent or experienced enough and couldn't really deliver the haircut I wanted despite seeing pictures of models as well as the same hairstyle on me! My hair was WASHED 4 TIMES during the cut! The cut is very uneven, there are so many bumps and bits of long hair in a straight line of short hair. And my hair is much longer than what I requested. But what made me certain that I had to get off that chair and out of the shop was that my hair was getting a front to back cut until the very last minute while the hairstyle I wanted requires back to front styling!! Which proper hairdresser, EVER, finishes a back to front hairstyle by cutting it front to back?! I didn't want to write this review but someone last week asked me why I had decided to cut my hair myself and that was when I knew the cut was bad. I am really disappointed.

   Been having my hair styled at Fusion Hair & Beauty for a few years now and I am always very pleased with my colour, wash, cut and blow dry. The stylists and staff are all fantastic, professional and friendly. I was very impressed with CV-19 control in the salon, gives me great confidence when inside.
