I'm still chasing them for the unpaid signage. I'd say they were trying to avoid paying but surely they wouldn't as so obvious to treat me like that. Won't be doing them a favour ever again.
Becky was great she explained everything she was going to do and more. I felt like she understood my hair well and I'm really pleased with the cut. I will definitely be back

This salon has repeatedly donated over £50 a year to my annual fundraiser for Help For Heroes despite the challenges of lockdown last year and cost of living crisis this year in 2022. I highly recommend Maison de Beaute, and the salon owner Anje, to everyone. It’s the best hairdresser salon experience I’ve ever had. I won’t be going anywhere else, and I can’t wait for my next appointment! I cannot recommend this hairdressers enough! I avoid hairdressers at all costs, as I have a skin tag on my scalp that they always catch, however after years of box dyes and bleach I realised I needed professional help. Initially I booked in with Headhunters as they were recommended to me by a friend, going the week before for a skin test, and building up the confidence for a week… They cancelled last minute. So I walked the streets of Pontefract with my fingers crossed for space somewhere for my last minute hair fix. Maison de Beaute have a sign outside advertising walk ins - I did just that, and within half an hour was sat down in the chair. I have NEVER felt so comfortable in a hairdressers. Friendly, calming, with down to earth staff who all treat you with respect (rather than the stuck up temperament I’ve experienced elsewhere) and have endless time for you. The salon owner, Anje, had seen me when I first came in, and took genuine interest in how my hair was going to turn out. My hair was truly atrocious, and being very thick, it took longer than expected. When it came to closing time, Anje took over and stayed behind to work on my hair. Anje was incredible - answering all my questions, explaining the science of hair, and being more caring than I could ever have expected. I sat down at 1pm, and was still there at 7pm - at no point did I feel like a hassle or that Anje was annoyed to be working so late. I’ve never booked a follow up appointment before at other hairdressers, generally because they’ve caught my skin tag and left a bad impression. I came out out of Maison de Beaute happier than I thought I’d ever be leaving a hairdressers, and with my next appointment booked. Absolutely fantastic salon. 10/10. And the endless cups of tea were spot on - the cherry on top!
For the first time ever I enjoyed the hairdressers!! It wasn’t a chore or a dread! My First time and I’ll be coming back. I felt so welcomed from the start, put at ease and it was a lovely atmosphere. I felt listened to by Ang, nothing was too big an ask and she was so knowledgeable. I went for a complete style change long to short and my hair is perfect! I love it and I enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you!
