   Just had my nails done here for the first time, and personally, I wouldn't recomment. The staff far too informal. When I walked in, no greeting or a smile, just a brisk:" have you got an appointment booked?". They have a good banter on a far too casual, for my liking, level, including swearing slipping in here and there, while clients around. Like a bunch of trainees at the end of a full year training, where they know each other a tad too much, and are slowly getting bored of doing the job and being stuck together in one place. My consultant, very lovely, but also somewhat inexperienced. Little pride for the work, little constructive criticism from colleagues, and when the attention to detail was lacking, and I pointed it out- she was genuinely surprised, and unaware. She couldn't see the issue. I suppose, when in Rome...-not a place for growth or development nor seeing good customer care in practice. The job got done, reasonably well (one thumb nail didnt get cut, and disnt get stuck, it seems, as has come off when I got home) - edges still not buffed to even, in places bits missed out on the white, in places uneven white at the edge, to me, not enough attention to detail.... tried to take a couple of pic to show what I mean. The nails should be smooth and perfect. I don't think I will be coming back, as ,try as I might, the environment and the stuffy room, made me rather uncomfortable. There was also a distinct smell in the room, nothing to do with the nails, more like a mix of damp and diy amonium hair dye, that felt rather intrusive after a short while, and you're there for over 1h. I don't think the staf notice anymore. Just somewhat disappointing experience.

   Really bad salon I’ve been to in my life the back of the salon had damp in it people just walked in and out whenever they wanted the boss was very rude.

   The ladies at Vanilla are so lovely. Having just moved to the area it was hard to find a salon that I felt comfortable in. Your always welcomed with a smile an a friendly atmosphere, I'm always offered a drink. The treatments are always brilliant and the prices ate great! All in all a great salon for all your needs!
