   I recently visted for a check up, when I got to the reception I told the receptionist I had already filled out the forms, as requested by text message, did I need to sign in on the tablet. I was told to take a seat. I had arrived 5 minutes early, 10:25, and waited and waited and waited. 40 minutes after my appointment time I approached reception again and asked if I did actually have an appointment today showing the receptionist the confirmation message on my phone. I was told that I should have signed in. I was fuming. Surely a quick glance at the system would have shown that there was a discrepancy between the number of people in the waiting room and the number of people booked in. A large sign saying "Please book in on the tablet to confirm your arrival." Or words to that effect could have prevented this issue. Today was a very busy day for me and I lost a valuable hour of daylight, when I could have been highly productive, plus the time it took to calm down to the point where I could get on with my day, plus the time it took to post this review.

   The dentist was thorough and explained everything clearly. He did all of the things that I would expect at a six monthly check. I will be happy to continue with his services and hope he wishes to stay at the practice.

   Extremely disappointed with Holt House Dental Practice in Matlock. My wife was registered with them, yet we were never told she had been taken off their books. We only found out when she needed urgent help, and now she has been left in excruciating pain with nowhere to turn. This is completely unacceptable. Patients should never be left in the dark about something as serious as losing their place on a practice list. The lack of communication and care is shocking, and we feel badly let down.

   As usual my appointment was punctual and the receptionist, also as usual, was pleasant and welcoming. The Dentist, Elizabeth, was friendly and efficient. She explained her examination and offered recommendations for my Dental care.

   I’m an extremely nervous patient. So nervous I haven’t been to the dentist in over a decade. My toothache had got so painful that I had no choice but to bite the bullet. The whole team were so kind and lovely. Explained everything that was happening and put me at my ease. I can’t recommend this dentist highly enough. I even booked in for a check up afterwards to finally get my teeth sorted out - which for me is some sort of miracle. Thank you.

   Phoned to check time of tomorrows appointment, to find it had been moved! Was NOT informed..Receprionist Jane, thinks she is God but is effing useless. I would rather take out a bank loan and go private, than ever set foot in Holt House again!

   Fabulous dentist who explained everything really well and put me at ease despite a difficult procedure (tooth extraction). Young receptionist needs more training on how to receive patients and speak to them politely.

   Once again excellent service I needed an emergency appointment due to dental pain and whilst all the appointments had gone they still managed to fit me in the same day. The treatment I received was brilliant wouldn't hesitate to recommend them especially Elizabeth James she is so understanding and puts you at ease
