   I had the pleasure of having my hair cut by Sophie at Allertons in John Lewis, and I can confidently say she is the best hairdresser I’ve had in years! From the moment I sat in the chair, Sophie made me feel completely at ease with her friendly and kind demeanor. She truly listens to what you want and then works her magic with incredible skill. My hair (men’s cut) has never looked this sharp and well-styled. The attention to detail Sophie puts into her work is exceptional, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about making her clients look and feel great. On top of the fantastic service, the price was incredibly reasonable—great value for the quality of the experience and outcome. If you’re looking for a top-notch haircut and outstanding service, I highly recommend booking with Sophie at Allertons. I’ll definitely be back!

   I had a fantastic experience with Maria! She gave me beautiful highlights that brightened my hair exactly the way I wanted. She really took the time to listen to what I was looking for and made sure I was happy with the results.    Second time using Maria at the John Lewis allertons salon. First time I went for a hair cut. My hair was cut significantly shorter than expected. I was told it was because she didn’t know curly hair bounced back up when let go. I was advised to tell this point to the next hairdresser so that they’re aware. I didn’t leave a negative review at the time and thought- it’s fine hair will grow back. Second time was today when I went for a balayage. First I was told off for not booking a hair consultation-( this was offered to me when going in person for a skin test, then told I did not need one afterwards). I was then told off for not booking a double appointment as she had a customer right after me. As a customer I do not know the diary of the hairdresser and when a double appointment is needed and when not. I offered to wait longer if she had other customers. She also kept saying my hair isn’t normal and straightforward. And that I had too much thick hair. I was told to rebook back with my previous hair dresser when I said they didn’t find all these issues with me and my hair. Needless to say I was gobsmacked at the rudeness for a paying customer. I explained the only reason I booked here was because I had a John Lewis gift card. I just felt attacked for being there and inconveniencing her. She then offered to do a half head balayage and I showed example pictures. 40 min after foils are in, she comes to me with a colour chart … asking again to see the example picture. I mentioned my hair tends to go brassy so to go with some cool tones/ash. Low and behold, when it was blow dried it’s very brassy already and stripey. Last straw was with payment - I mentioned multiple times during the appointment that I had a John Lewis gift voucher. She tried to scan it for payment unsuccessfully and told me to go down to the main allertons salon as she had another customer waiting. I agreed. When I got there I was questioned why I came to allertons when it’s a John Lewis gift card and to go back. I had to go back up to John Lewis four floors again with the person from Allertons. When we arrived back at John Lewis, Maria was asked why she sent me down to Allertons when it was John Lewis gift card. She just giggled and said she didn’t know how to scan it. Again no apology for the back and forth. I was happy to give her a second chance but I’ve learned my lesson. My hair is in stripes and already orange/brassy. I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing her with everything from my hair type / volume / appointment even though I was a paying customer. I’m Disappointed as I had heard good things about allertons but never experienced such rude customer service. I’ve taken photos of how striped it looks.

   Amazing service, my first time visiting for a full Hollywood wax, Kate put me at ease and talked me through the whole process. Through out the appointment we chatted which put me at ease. Definitely going back in 6 weeks. Definitely worth the money, booking is so easy too

   Barabora was an amazing massage therapist and very experienced. I’ve been having a lot of pain in neck and shoulder for some time and already feel a lot lighter after a 1hr deep tissue massage. Will be going again and booking in with her to help sort it out as she really knows her stuff! The atmosphere is lovely and the rooms are inviting. Clean, calm and professional environment

   Wonderful experience on both services - gel nails and keratin hair treatment. I had my nails done beautifully by Katy and I just love it. Keratin treatment by Jaime(she) was done so perfectly with details. She even explained how the product works and recommended proper hair care routine.
