Really helpful staff in the Barnet store. Found the one remaining jacket in the colour I wanted at the back of a whole rail full of other jackets. Friendly and courteous and didn't rush me to make a decision. Good range of stock.

I bought a good backpack here at a good price and was well looked after by a polite, efficient young chap who treated me well, showed me other sized packs, and let me decide in my own time which one to choose. He also let me transfer everything from the uncomfortable pack I had on my back into the one I had chosen which is very comfortable. I've used it twice on two trips out of London and am still using it now on my current location away from the capital. I look forward to taking it abroad soon. Sorry I forgot your name and lost the card you gave me with your name on it.... Thanks for having me hombre! Keep up your good customer relations ability.
Josh (supervisor & came over from Southend store for the day) I was so shocked by his customer service. I have never experienced someone with less professionalism & enthusiasm towards his job. He didn’t once smile for the 40 minutes we visited. We came in for a faulty return/exchange of some boots and when my friend showed these to him and explained that they are faulty because they are different sizes but marked as the same size Josh’s response was “I don’t see it” in a downgrading tone. One thing that shocked us to hear is that the magnum boots are individually made in different factories (left in one and right in the other). Josh didn’t know anything about any of the boots we later looked at and when we picked up another pair of boots they were also faulty because of the uneven platform of one of the boots! Josh showed zero care/empathy towards our experience. We have not had a pleasant experience with Millets and it’s been an ongoing case for 4 weeks now. The fact that we had to drive 30 minutes and pay for parking to return the FAULTY boots was horrendous considering any other company would have compensated for the loss of money to return. I then went to purchase a jacket which was on display for £16 and when it went through the till it came up as £20 and josh didn’t pick up on this until I stated. We visited at 10:30am and it was empty in the store with two staff members in. I was shocked to see that false pricing has not been spotted considering a supervisor is there. Overall our whole experience has been so negative we decided we will not be purchasing any more boots online or in store.
