Don’t bother coming here as many things aren’t in stock as they’re “online only”. Website doesn’t state this and says items are in stock on the websites stock availability. Could be staff not wanting to help. Drove an hour for nothing. Useless brand. No wonder the shop was dead and every other shop was busy. Close down if you don’t carry stock people actually want. Shop full of rubbish.

The North Face has a 1.5 out of 5-star rating on Trust Pilot, 82% one-start review as of 24/11/2024. If I knew what I know now, I would not purchased from this company and won't in the future. "I don't care", says the manager of The North Face Bluewater, over and over again to my questions and in front of my daughter and other customers. Why? Because I'm trying to exchange an online purchase from The North Face website at The North Face store, shocking!!! After all, they are the same company. Wrong!! Not, not at all, no way. I'm told the online store is entirely separate from the Bluewater store and the systems don't talk to one another. I may as well be presenting a bag of peas from Sainsbury's for exchange. What year are we in? But I'm standing here now with a branded North Face package I bought from the North Face website, and this is a Noth Face store, and the response is, "I don't care; you can't return it here". But I'm here now, I have travelled 45 mins, "I don't care" the responses. What about the impact on the environment? Posting it back and forth for a replacement, he continues, "I don't care", over and over. He showed no empathy at all. What monumental arrogance from the store manager and lack of respect for customers, the brand and its CSR. This is the cold face of The North Face and leaves a lot to be desired. He handled the situation with confidence of his complete unprofessionalisum with the "I don't care" attitude. He must have this a lot, and I was just another annoyance interrupting his day. Looking at other reviews, I now know that this is a franchise and doesn't accept returns from any other stores, let alone online. This is also stated online. Firstly, it is not acceptable to have such a disjointed customer experience, and most importantly, the arrogance and lack of respect from the manager were truly shocking!!!!!!!!!!! Does my experience align with the franchisee's values? Let's find out! I have been a The North Face customer for over twenty years. Because of the actions of the store manager, I will return the £410 ski jacket without replacement and switch to a different brand that does care about me and the environment!

I’ve shopped here for many years as I explore countries like Iceland, Svalbard and Greenland. I went in twice this week and was confronted with a overly helpful but off putting shop assistant, every-time he walked past he would ask do I need help, 5 times in as little as ten minutes even though I said I was just looking, even though I said I’m fine he would fill the need to tell me about the items I was looking at, very off putting. I spoke to another member of staff and he boycotted and over powered the conversation and would not listen to what I had to stay causing the other member of staff to take a step back, this has happened on my last two visits which has now resulting in me being reluctant in going in the shop and taking my custom elsewhere. Yesterday I went in to the shop to look for a warm jacket for Svalbard, something to wear around the town and not to replace my main adventure jacket. I asked about the suitability in low temperatures , he would not tell me the low temperature range due to being sued and north face would not advise customers in suitable coats for certain temperatures encase that are sued, he then went on to stay no outside clothing company would advertise minimum temperatures on products or if they are waterproof, which is absolutely false as I had just been to snow and rock and purchased gloves for -20. I appreciate that some people require more insulation than others but all I was after was a temperature range. He was very persistent, talk at me and not to me and very off putting. I don’t normally write reviews but I was so disappointed as I’ve been shopping here for years. Overall the shop is great, up until now I have found the staff to be helpful, informative , welcoming and friendly and respectful to the customer when they wish to browse. I think he might be a manager or supervisor, he comes across as one, or someone just chasing the sale.

Just had excellent after service, for a black rain jacket zipper that had fallen off from every day use. Friendly and helpful staff, and the person who served me was friendly and efficient. She was knowledgeable about the range of products in the BlueWater branch. Thank you.

Rob was extremely knowledgeable with the shoe section in particular. He greeted us upon entry and made sure we were well looked after during our visit. Very kind and genuine with solid advice and I walked away with an incredible pair of hiking shoes! Rob helped me subscribe to the newsletter so I'm looking forwards to the incoming offers. I'm ecstatic with this purchase and Rob has made our day special. Thanks again and we will be back soon :)

Some very nice jackets and gilets in here, but pricey.

It's ok. More a fashion store than hardcore outdoor which North Face do.

Bought a lovely pair of sliders for a good price. Good store just very expensive but you pay for not only the name but the quality as my coat has lasted me 4 years already
