I had my first appointment with Nikki. They were fantastic and did an amazing job with my hair. She talked to me about what I wanted, listened and suggested things that would work for my hair as well as giving advice on colour maintenance which was really helpful. The salon itself was nice and warm (but not stuffy) and was very large which was nice. I'm looking forward to going back.

I've been having my hair done by Chloe for years now! She's so lovely, fun and relatable to talk too, as someone who struggles with anxiety and talking to people she makes it easy with fun random convos! When it comes to my hair, she always hits, never misses! I decided to make a change last year, I gave her references and talked about my vision of bringing Fox Tips and Calico together, but still being mainly ginger for lower maintenance - she created the perfect combination which I've been rocking for almost a year now! I couldn't recommend her enough! Gray's is full of good vibes, good people and talented souls!

Had an appointment with Chloe and she is hands down the best hairdresser I’ve ever been to. I went in with really washed out brown/blonde flat hair and asked her to cut me layers and a fringe alongside going black. She did such an amazing job that I didn’t even recognise myself after! I would highly recommend her to anyone! Absolutely lovely person to chat with and made me feel super comfortable. Will definitely be coming back to Chloe for all future appointments! ♥️♥️♥️

I booked an appointment with Chloe at this salon and had such high hopes, especially after reading so many positive reviews. While I was genuinely looking forward to the appointment, I sadly left feeling quite disappointed and upset with the results of my haircut. I came in with a clear vision and brought reference photos to help communicate exactly what I wanted. I asked for a fringe, face-framing pieces, and some light layering only at the front, along with a small trim on the ends—just enough to remove any wispy bits. I also mentioned that I wanted a haircut that would look nice when straightened and wouldn’t require a lot of styling. Unfortunately, the result was absolutely nothing like the reference images. Multiple layers were cut throughout my hair, not just at the front, and large sections were taken off. The face-framing pieces extended far beyond the front into the sides, creating an almost bob-like appearance from the front. The cut feels uneven, choppy, and the ends appear much thinner than before—something that became even more apparent once the hair was unstyled. This experience was extremely disheartening. It’s going to take me years to grow my hair back to the same length and fullness it used to have. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it encourages the stylist to listen to client requests in the future and stay close to reference provided, so others don’t have to go through a similar experience (Below is my hair, before and after. Along with the reference photos of what I had shown)

Disgusted with the results and service. They dyed my hair a vibrant red instead of purple, offered to re-colour but due to wrong colour being applied initially they was unable to rectify. They had the audacity to blame me for my multicoloured highlights, with some blocks having no colour at all - a patchy mess of red, mahogany, orange, brown, purple! It was evident my hair wasn’t acceptable, offering a second attempt which was also a disaster, yet they made up every excuse to avoid a refund. I wasn’t prepared to visit for a 3rd time, they were incompetent. They were rudely defensive, made ill mannered accusations, suggesting I put the red dye on myself (as I left with wet hair and only to see results once at home). I should not be advised to colour my own hair having just paid £130 for a service they were unable to deliver. They also offered a trainee to blow dry my hair whom had no experience with 3B curls. This just says it all about the care for your customers. Don’t substitute professionalism, we respect you not having enough time - especially if paying senior prices. I have successfully had highlights for many years with no issue with the desired colour. You cannot blame the customer for you colour mixing being unsuccessful, then to only offer an apology.

I adore this place. The staff are super friendly and always make sure you're comfortable. I've been a fair few times now and honestly I've never had a bad experience. I recently took my children with me to get their hair done and they loved it. My son is autistic so new places cN be a bit nerve wreacking for him but the staff instantly put him at ease which was greatly appreciated. My daughter loved it too. We love the decor here too. There's tattoo art and taxidermy butterflies on the walls too which look super cool. There are stairs to the business which aren't their responsibility. Wheelchair access isn't possible unfortunately so keep that in mind if you are a wheelchair user. 100% plan on coming back here and my kids. Great staff, great work and great for those who love alternative styles
