I took my little girl here for her flu vaccine and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful throughout the entire process. I want to give a special thank you to Claire, who went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable and brave. She really turned what could have been a scary moment into a positive one. Highly recommend this pharmacy for anyone with children!

I always recommend this pharmacy to family and friends! Jack is really knowledgeable and helpful for whatever I need, it’s so useful having a friendly pharmacist. Thank you as well to Zoe, Nicola, Claire and Izabelle for being quick and friendly too!

As someone who finds themselves in Uppermill pharmacy rather frequently, could not ask for a better pharmacist than Jack! He always helps in anyway possible to ensure I get my prescriptions and offers advice whenever needed.

Insanely rude duty pharmacist. Could have walked out with prescription for free. Reminded her to charge me. No "please" or "thank you" for my honesty. Edit: Changed review from 1 star to 4 as usual pharmacist Jack rang me to apologise about the above situation, which I consider to be excellent customer service. He and the branch have also been helpful in previous encounters.

I had to complain to well pharmacy experience team head office over a very rude member of staff I think she is called "Christine" used to work at the Coop in. Uppermill. I'm local resident, lived here all my life but this woman literally had a bad attitude towards sorting my medication that day, I had a full cold and cough, I only wanted to pick it up. The disorganisation is unbelievable at the chemist, been charged double for the same medication but several staff members, I can't keep track of them all. I could still hear her kicking off in the background about the inconvenience of sorting it out. Don't work there, move on.

As both a customer and former employee of Well I can see the issues from both sides. The stores are all short staffed due to constant cut backs by management, who then insist on meeting weekly targets which affects the whole running of the stores. There is only ever one pharmacist in the store at any one time and the extra tasks detract from the checking and general running of the pharmacy. I have found the management totally unsympathetic and unsupportive to their staff needs. There are rarely more than 3 people working; one in the shop, one in the dispensary and the pharmacist to check the medications dispensed. This is most often a locum pharmacist unfamiliar with the computer systems and general workings of the store. We ask the customer to submit their prescription request and allow 4 working days for a reason. It takes 2 days for the GP to sign and submit the prescription to the pharmacy and a further 2 days to process (not including bank holidays). There can be upwards of 400 prescriptions arrive electronically over the day and once printed, dispensed, labelled and checked it may take up to 20minutes if there is more than one item on the script. The pharmacy doesn’t just dispense medication in store, they also dispense to the elderly and deliver to people who can’t come to collect. When a customer comes into the pharmacy and are angry, condescending and rude to the person serving, please don’t be surprised if you get a taste of your own medicine (intended pun). It isn’t the staff on the counters fault and the customer isn’t always right. The lack of please, thank you and sorry are becoming prevalent. Wait for an explanation. Cut the staff some slack, they are doing the best they can with what little staff they have. Their day might be even worse than yours. Management listen to your customers - it’s a care profession not a corporate one.

Fantastic service. I fell over and hurt my left arm badly. We live an hour away from Uppermill and I’m the driver. Went to the local GP and the reception outrightly refused us in and nobody would see me. Went to the Well Pharmacy and the staff were so helpful. Thank you so much. *****
