To preface this, I am non binary with short masculine styled hair. I went in today and asked if they did walks ins. The person who greeted me said they do but they don't do ladies haircuts. They asked what I would like to have done, I said a trim. They paused for a moment and asked something about razors, I said that's fine. They said they have an appointment with someone, which is obviously okay, and was told to come back twenty minutes later. I won't be as I don't know how I'll be treated. It was a short exchange, and didn't feel comfortable correcting him, for reasons involving previous negative experiences in similar scenarios. If you are masc presenting and/or not a cis man, and uncomfortable with confrontation, I wouldn't advise going here.
Been going there for my haircut for many years. The names have changes pino, jonny and now Lee, but the service remain great. You can now book an appointment to save time
Darren and the team run a clean and professional barber shop. They give excellent haircuts and at a great price. My 6 year old has been going to Darren for 4 years, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with his hair. Thanks for looking after him.
I have been having my hair cut at this place for several years. There are several reasons why I rate it so highly. The ability to be able to just 'drop in' when I need my hair cut is really important to me. It is clearly professionally run with competent and friendly hairdressers in particular Aidi . He finds time to build good relationships with his clients and I cannot help but note that so many clients specifically ask for him. The business is clean, well maintained with adequate seating and of course toilet facilities. I would recommend this hairdressers to anyone.
My son has some slight sensory issues. He hates men cutting his hair and usually will have a meltdown. However having his hair cut by Aidi was a completely different experience. He absolutely loved it :) very professional and a fantastic hair cut for my boy also fantastically priced. Thankyou :) xx
