   Extremely Disappointed – Worst Barber Experience in Rothwell Having recently moved to Rothwell from London, I was looking for a new barber. As someone with 10 years of experience in the barbering industry, I thought I’d be able to recognize a quality shop. Unfortunately, my visit to Istanbul Cuts was a complete disappointment. From the moment I walked in, the lack of professionalism was apparent. One of the barbers was sleeping in the chair, and there was no greeting or customer service. Communication was difficult, as the barber barely spoke English, which made it hard to explain what I wanted. I asked for a low skin fade, but the result was nothing like what I had hoped for. The top of my hair was butchered, leaving me with a bizarre "Avatar-like" fringe. The fade had no blend—just harsh, visible lines. I had to ask the barber multiple times to correct it, which showed a clear lack of skill and attention to detail. To make matters worse, the clippers, combs, and scissors weren’t cleaned or sanitized before use, which raised serious hygiene concerns. I was also nicked several times on the neck with the clippers. Despite the terrible experience, I still paid full price and left a small tip out of politeness, though I deeply regret doing so. As a professional in the industry, I can say that Istanbul Cuts falls far below the standards expected from any barber shop. Poor hygiene, lack of skill, no customer service, and unprofessionalism make this a place I would strongly advise avoiding.

   We always have a great experience at Charlie Chaplin Barbers in Rothwell. I take both my sons there and they always do a brilliant job with the haircuts. The fact that they’re open on Sundays is a real bonus too—makes it much easier to fit in around busy family life. Highly recommend!

   Great barbers! .Attention to detail, service, and quality are all fantastic. I got the “Full Treatment” which included skin fade, beard, ear and nose, all for £30. Well worth it. I will 100% be a returning customer. The guy who works there with red hair is awesome at his job, never got his name, but an exceptional barber.

   Tried this place for the first time about 2 years ago, mostly because the only occupant was the guy who cuts your hair so i didn't have to queue. I came out with an excellent stylish haircut feeling good and wondering why there wasn't a queue halfway down the street. It's gotten busier over time, unsurprisingly, and although I'm a fairly Infrequent visitor they don't forget a face. I get welcoming "Hello, how are you" from the staff even if they are cutting a clients hair and they make you feel your patronage is valued, rather than taken for granted. Popped in today with frankly a mop on my head as my last visit was January. I came out 30 minutes later with the smartest haircut I've ever sported. The stylists level of skill, care and attention to detail was genuinely entertaining. I observed him quite carefully in the mirror as he performed the transformation. It amused me to note that this haircut didn't simply need to exceed the encumbants expectations, it had to also meet his, and that was a far higher bar. It's a smart salon, a good selection of musical genres playing in the background and they will happily change them at your whim and its just THE place to go for men's hair if you live in the area. You will be more than impressed.
