I went into the Gingerbread Tea House on the back of discovering it through Three Coffee Club. I’m really pleased I did. Not only is the coffee shop lovely, it’s reasonably priced and the staff are lovely. I’ll definitely be frequenting in future with my family.
The food is absolutely fabulous and the portions are very generous. They offer a bit of everything you'd expect from a breakfast cafe but the thing that steals the show is the ginger milkshake! It is unbelievable!
What a lovely Breakfast and Lunch Cafe. I had a huge hearty breakfast with a couple of extras and everything was cooked to perfection with care and excellent presentation. Everything reasonably priced too. Nice warm welcome and atmosphere with brilliant service, where nothing requested was too much trouble and served with an amazing smile. I will definitely come here again and have no hesitation on recommending this place to anyone wanting a great breakfast or lunch. Parking is not the best as its on a major high street, but if you drive around the block a couple of times, you will find a parking spot nearby. Thank you for an amazing visit, see you again soon.
Best food in the northwest, Staff were very friendly with outstanding service. I will be visiting there on a regular basis.
Such a cozy and inviting little tea house. We went here twice during my stay in Widnes, once for a party, once just for afternoon tea, and both times were lovely. I had my first full English breakfast and loved it. I had both iced and hot gingerbread lattes and enjoyed them a lot; they were mild but smooth and the syrups were nice. I have a tree nut allergy and they were very accommodating checking the labels on anything pre-made, and I ate one of their store-made scones without issue. I wished that I could visit this place on the regular and sit around enjoying a book and some coffee, so it's too bad I was only in town for a week! I'll definitely be back.
Popped in for lighter breakfast. Cooked to perfection as always and great service, as always! Can't recommend highly enough.
Took mum out for the first time since lockdown for tea and a scone (her favourite). She's in a wheelchair and, though the place is quite small, everyone was very kind and accommodating. Had the cheesy bacon burger - highly recommended!
