   Extremely rude manager/ part owner. Trying to force me into the club without my friend. When I tried to explain I was waiting for someone who doesn't know the area and doesn't seem to have noticed me entering the que he shouted at me, his bouncer physically pushed me and said I was being rude and then he said I will be refused entry - as if that will ever be an issue again! When I tried to speak to the manager while passing to get in my taxi, his bouncer pushed me off balance with his torso....seemingly very aware if the security cameras pointing in him. I'm a local business owner and have lived in Wilmslow for over 15 years. I was taking a friend from South Africa out while she was in the area for one night only. I was so surprised and embarrassed. Will avoid this venue for ever and do my utmost to warn other people against it too. What a shame. The short manager with short hair and a bad attitude must be costing this venue a lot of money and is definitely hurting their reputation. I also notice how in some of the negative reviews, the venue still chooses to be rude and insulting towards the customer. How they are still in business is a mystery .... I'll never be back and will be making a case with the police.

   Visited The Symposium for the first time once I knew it was under new management and had such a great night! Quick service, great selection of drinks and champagne, and music everyone can dance to. Perfect atmosphere for a late night venue.

   Would highly recommend The Symposium! Very polite staff with a good vibe. Been a couple of times now and every time I have been they have made me and my friends feel welcome and service was excellent! The Doormen are smarty dressed with a nice smile on there faces. Definitely makes you feel welcome. Music is definitely a good range from RnB to house music depending on the night. Also a very nice selection of champagne list what my wife agrees is lacking in most places in the area…. But the symposium have got that covered!! Would highly recommend to anyone!

   Love it here! The new owners have made some great changes and the place looks fab!!! The new door staff are very smart and friendly! Such a great night out with the girls, non stop dancing Great cocktails and fizz! Can’t wait for our next night out!

   Initially refused entry as ‘there’s was not enough bar staff to cope with the customers’ so we spent our money elsewhere and went into the grove (which was much better atmosphere anyway). We tried again and eventually got in but it was absolutely dead and this was on a Saturday night too so we walked straight back out. No wonder there’s nobody in there if your door staff are on a power trip and refusing people entry for literally no reason. Shocking.

   Great place. Centre of Wilmslow.. Comedy club was excellent. Great atmosphere, great drink and the owner made a point of seeing everyone and making sure all was good! I would fully recommend either club or comedy.

   My little sister and I got denied entry for being too old and was pointed in the direction of Revolution. We're 31 and 28 lol...... It's a good job we aren't easily offended and didn't have any high expectations. Thankfully my little sister wasn't drinking and we weren't staying in the area so it didn't ruin our night, it was probably a lucky escape. So when visiting this venue please always keep an open mind, don't get your hopes up and don't go here if you are 28 and over haha.(This review is based purely on our experience from the outside but would you really want to go in after being treated like this)
