Had most of what I needed but the customer service seriously depended on which employee helped you and their mood.
If I could give it no stars I would. This Robert Dyas never opens on time. The one in Woking does that. Store is overpacked with rude and unfriendly staff. We won’t step a foot into that shop ever again.
I always find Robert Dyas At Epsom staff to be so helpful, polite and friendly they always make me feel welcome. I would say Epsom Robert Dyas is the best.
When a French husband takes his expat wife shopping in Epsom and insists on making nothing short of a pilgrimage to Robert Dyas. Such a great shop where there is always a warm welcome.
Robert Dyas is a favourite shop and I'm terrified it may become another casualty of the move to online shopping. It is a great treasury of everyday hardware, electrical and other domestic necessities but there are always some nice surprises and serious bargains too. Best of all, the staff are marvellous.
People entering without mask and the staff didn't say anything! 2 guys without mask coughing behind me and my son, I reported to the 2 staff in the cashier and they did not say anything! Terrible staff behaviour
Good store, well laid out but be prepared that their customer service varies on who you are. The previous customer was treated 100 times better than I did; asked if they needed a bag, smiled at, told them to have a nice day etc. My service included having to ask for a bag after the price was said, no smiles (not even eye contact!), it was as if I was an invisible paying person. And the best part, no parting words because they were too interested in talking to their colleague about the current sale coming up and the intake they've taken this week already. In all, completely rude. Now, you might think I may have deserved that service but I tried to get eye contact to smile, asked politely if I could have a bag and I browsed the store quietly with no interactions with staff during my browsing. I can only assume I was met with rudeness because of either my age, gender or whatever I had that the previous customer hadn't. Wouldn't stop me from shopping there; however, it has made me aware that I'll probably not get nice customer service when buying products from there.
