   Terrible experience. I waited two hours to get my nails done, only to be verbally abused by other people in the shop who pushed in and claimed I hadn’t been waiting. Instead of addressing it, the staff did nothing and even served the women before me. I felt completely disrespected and uncomfortable, and eventually had to walk out. I definitely won’t be returning.

   I really didn’t like this place at all. The service was dreadful and the salon has no proper ventilation it absolutely reeks of chemicals the moment you walk in. The nail polish they use is cheap and low quality, and it’s clear they don’t bother disinfecting their tools or their work area. Completely unhygienic and not up to standard. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

   The nail staff are very talented and did exactly what we want. I know walk in nail bars you have to wait but we waited over an hour to get seating with a nail tech. My only criticism is they should have a number take a ticket so that people can come back for their walk in because we sat for over and hour waiting. No wait time was given and it was hot and chairs were uncomfortable. Once our bails were done the quality was good. Just need to sort wait times in peak times.

   Went in for gel removal and new set. Didn’t actually remove all the old gel and left the old tips on as well. When I questioned her she just kept saying it was fine. Stuck new tips on and then did new gel. It’s awful, there’s big gaps between the layers of the tips and the gel doesn’t even line up on the sides of the nails. I left before she had finished because I was so disappointed and she wouldn’t listen to me when I was telling her I wasn’t happy. Went elsewhere to get them fully removed and redone. They clearly don’t care about customer satisfaction or return business.

   Thought I'd try out a new nail place closer to home. I was seen as soon as I walked through the door. Showed them a picture of what I wanted but with different colours, and they did not disappoint. I was also given a loyalty card upon leaving, so I will definitely be going back.

   I’ve been going here regularly for a year now and they always do an excellent job. They always try to fit me in even if it’s late after work and really busy - I’ve never been turned away! I don’t always have specific designs but when I do they’re completed to a really high standard. Definitely recommend :)

   I wanted to have acrylic nails with a Christmas design and after reading the reviews (which are mixed) I decided to give them a try and I’m 100% satisfied. They were very quick at seeing me and did my nail design is pretty much spot on! I’m so happy with them and will definitely be using them again.

   I visited today at 2:30 - it was the worst nail experience I have ever had. The man who did my nails was incredibly rude and unfriendly. I felt uncomfortable from the start and throughout. He went straight into drilling and filing my nails without asking me what I wanted (e.g shape, length). When telling him I didn't want them filed down he continued and a lady had to come over and tell him what I meant. The entire way through doing my nails he didn't speak a word to me, instead pointed, grunted and was fairly aggressive with my hands. The end result was awful, nail polish all over my hands, parts missed on my nails, bumpy and uneven - my nails very also incredibly painful from the drilling. He didn't say it was finished he just walked off. I spoke to another lady and said I wasn't too happy with my nails and she did her best to attempt to fix them. I mentioned how I found him rude and was unhappy with the service and was offered £2 off the total price. She stated that because his English wasn't very good that was the reason for the poor service - for me that isn't a valid excuse. I will never be going back here again and I recommend elsewhere. EDIT: I went to a different professional salon to have the gel that wasn't chipped off removed about 6 days after. They were disgusted by the state of my nails which are destroyed. I told them what had happened at York Nails + Spa and they said that they had heard bad reviews before. My nails are still painful now and weaker then they have ever been. They are red underneath in the places where they were drilled beyond belief. I have taken pictures to show how damaged after over a month and how healthy the regrowth is in comparison. I ended up with an infection under my finger (the right one in the picture).
