   The coffee was served far too hot. I tried to ignore it and continue drinking, but it burnt my tongue for a second time. These things happen, so I stood up calmly and mentioned it to a member of staff. Without saying a single word to me, she abruptly poured cold milk into my coffee. I was genuinely taken aback by this — it was such an unexpected and inappropriate response. Before I even had a moment to process what had happened, her colleague said to me, “When someone does something for you, you say thank you.” I was already shocked, which is precisely why I hadn’t responded immediately. I assumed her colleague would have the basic awareness to realise I was clearly unsettled, yet instead I was spoken to in an unnecessarily condescending manner. I would never have imagined anyone would simply pour cold milk into a customer’s coffee without asking, and I’m confident they themselves would not appreciate that being done to their own drink — especially when they’re paying for it. For a moment, I thought her colleague was equally surprised by what had happened, but instead I was lectured on saying thank you, which made the situation even more disappointing. My wife and I have been going there for ten years, and this was by far the worst experience. I returned the drink and made it clear I wasn’t going to have it. The entire encounter was unpleasant, and it highlighted a complete lack of customer service skills. She is often on her phone even while customers are speaking to her, which explains the carelessness we experienced.

   Very friendly staff, I genuinely love the fact that they always find the time to ask about how your day's been. I popped in today on my lunch break and the young fella with curly hair proper made my day. My coffee is always spot on, I highly rate it.

   Fast service and very friendly staff. The coffee is just Nero coffee. Sometimes good sometimes bad. I'm not talking about coffee with milk, just about Espresso or Americano. I like the place.

   Good coffee shop in the centre of Birkenhead, beside the shops and market. I sat inside and got a lovely chocolate orange donut and cappuccino. Upstairs was closed off, making it difficult to get a table downstairs. I got a small table beside the toilet, so I didn't stay as long as I wanted. There was seating free outside, but I found it was too cold to sit out.
