Best Toolstation I have ever been too, they deserve 5 stars on customer service alone. I grabbed three adhesives for a project putting up acoustic panels for my wife, hoping one would work. At the till a member of staff named Jack asked what I was working on. He did not have to, but he took the time to make sure I had the right product and it was exactly what I needed instead of rushing through the sale. The adhesives I had picked would have ruined the panels because the solvent would have melted the polystyrene. He recommended a solvent free option, explained why it was better and it was even half the price of just one of the ones I had picked. If he had not checked I would have wasted time, money and materials, not to mention annoyed my wife. She is thrilled with how it turned out and keeps saying, "Wow, you did not ruin it." It is rare to find staff who are so knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. Jack really stood out and deserves a promotion. Great service all round and I will definitely be back for future projects.
One of my go to places when I need a certain DIY item or tool very urgently. Their prices are decent especially compared to online and the quality of their products are usually very good. They even often stock items you wouldn’t expect so always check other website on phone app if you need something .
Have been to this store recently, and was greeted by a young man, named jack. Who was very helpful,polite and had a lot of knowledge on various power tools, mainly milwaukee but we had a very interesting conversation about the different brands also. Was very impressed on his enthusiasm and professional demeanour what an asset to the store.
This is the number 1 place to go to. The boss at the front, sadly didn't get his name each time I go, but we always have a great conversation and he's so helpful even when not buying just browsing and trying to learn. Then there was this young man called Jack, new employee who was so kind and so helpful. Put me first even though I mentioned I'm not buying right now just wanting to check it out, and he got out all the tools explained the differences so well between each tool. Answered all my questions without a problem. Top top customer service and I came back in later to buy, and unfortunately didn't see him but saw the boss and informed him that Jack was a great employee and one of the best interactions I've had from a tool/DIY place. Thank you. Also the store has everything with good prices and great quality.
Customer service is fine but their website is not great, it doesn’t give enough information on any particular item so that I can comapare the specs. I add: the customer service is bad! What's the point of ordering online while customers have to wait in the normal queue??? There is only person serving both online customers and customers ordering in store!!! It's a waste of time. When asked i was told that head office is not allocating more than one person to serve! Terrible!
Though the sales guy wasnt as helpful as West Brom guy all went well and hope fully my purchase is being used well in N.Z.

Yesterday we went return a faulty smoke alarm within warranty, staff said they only cover warranty for 12 months but when i showed them the evidence from toolstation website covering warranty, they said they will ask the manager to authorize the replacement, and both disappeared for 5-10 minutes then they came back with a mobile and asked me to speak to the manager on the call who had no clue what he was talking about . As they had speaker on the mobile the staff were gigling at the back when manager was trying to refuse the replacement(very unprofessional). the manager (aqib) was very rude to me over the phone he just was not listening to me, although I showed them the policy about warranty of this product but manger still did not listen. Very rude and unprofessional service there I don't think I should ever go there.
I have been using Toolstation ever since it opened up in Birmingham for my diy needs. It is my favourite place as I found its prices quite reasonable. Staff is helpful and courteous. I use to love their free drinks specially the coffee but sadly now it is no longer available at the sites. I like their 'no quibble' return policy an on the rare occasion I had to return the items, there were no question asked. I wish all the best to all the staff.
