   I don't often venture in to Birkenhead, but when I do, I try to hit up Muffin Break. The food there is lovely and the atmosphere always feels pretty chilled out. Service/staff is prompt, helpful and friendly.

   Nice coffee shop. The staff are not friendly though. They give you the impression they can't be bothered. I feel that the staff should be using gloves or tongs consistently, rather than touch the food with their hands after handling money. One member of staff was coughing into her hands and touching everyone's food! In reply to your response, you can follow all the health and safety standards you want and recommend your staff wash their hands regularly. It doesn't change the fact a member of your staff was coughing into her hands then touching everyone's food.

   I was pleasantly surprised. The Spinach and Feta tart was fresh and flavourful – a perfect light bite. I also tried their coffee cake, which was moist and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere made it a nice spot for a quick break. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area

   Called in here to first time Ordered a Ham & Cheese toast BEST I have ever tasted the bread was brown and seeded but was so light to eat cheese and ham good too Will be back for seconds

   The latte was great as usual. The bacon roll, however, was very small and overdone in the microwave making the ciabatta rock hard. There is very little else to choose from as almost everything, including the new festive range, includes cheese. Very disappointing on this occasion.
