I visited JD Macclesfield to return a pair of trainers, and the lady who served me was absolutely brilliant. I believe she may be the manager there, and it really shows, she was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made the whole process quick and easy. Her positive attitude honestly made my day.
Went in today to look for some trainers for my partners birthday, she wasnt sure of her size in a particular make so she sat down and tried a display one on in her size. Within a couple of seconds we had a lad come bounding over, standing right over the top of her watching her every move , totally invading her personal space making my partner feel very uncomfotable. Very odd behaviour so much so she put the trainer back and we left the shop. We shop at JD alot and I accept the need for security but this was completly over the top and ridiculous,why on earth he thought we would want to steal a single trainer is beyond me !! We dont ever get this in the hanley branch. Needless to say we wont be back !
I really liked the store. A wide selection of shoes from different manufacturers at different prices. Very polite service staff. The most important thing is that I was able to find the right pair of shoes.
Staff were brilliant we were greeted by 2 young lads who were very proffessional and super helpful talking us through the jd app and then explaining how we did klarna as we were unsure. We travelled here as the trainers the wife wanted wernt in stock anywhere else and we were very impressed compared to our local store which wasnt half as helpful as these guys.
Terrible customer service. Smallest selection I’ve ever seen. The staff are worse, they’re there for decoration, they don’t even pretend to acknowledge you.
Love all JD shops but down to the way each shop in each town is run. I don't like going in shops n nearly straight the staff ask if want help. To,to pushed n puts me off looking. I don't know what I want until I see it then I would want help.
Staff seem nice and really helpful but it is only a small shop with not much variety as the bigger stores.
Great service from staff but had yo return trainers as they were a mess and been made very badly, not what you expect for 120 pound, tried to replace but not in stock in my size, so I got my money back
Customer service is terrible! Bought a pair of trainers for my daughter's b'day from Macclesfield (out of stock) so Stockport kindly put them away only to arrive to completely the wrong pair! & non in stock!!! Joke, we're the reason your stores make money!
Spent a lot here over the years. On trying to enter the changing room was told to leave my bag outside. Today it happened to contain an iPad, passport and cash - but even it contained no valuables - I wouldn't have left it out of sight. I left the shop and they have not only lost the sale today of a track suit and shoes circ £195 they have lost a regular customer. If you have thieves entering your premises J D Sports Macclesfield then deal with them - but not by offending every shopper that enters. Who ever made this rule and didn't train the staff to use discretion when applying it is not a business person - but an idiot.
