   I came here because my friend recommended it to me but I'm not happy at all with my experience (in fact i'm quite pissed) I was there for a haircut and root touch up, and the stylist (she didn't introduced herself so i don't know her name) was curt and looked like she was just trying to get the job done quickly. I showed her a style and she didn't bothered to inform me if the style would works on my hair and face type and just started chopping things up. It looked fine when it was wet but when she dried it I noticed my hair just look like a bowl, i asked if she could gives more layer so it doesn't look at bulky but she just told me i have to cut the top part then and i said okay but she just left to fetch someone to do the root touch up, she didn't even give me a mirror to show how the cut looks from the back either. The root touch up colour looks fine (from the front again i was not given a mirror to see the back) but i can feel how my hair pulls at my scalp everytime i move immediately after i went out of the salon because it was so dry. I used lots of hair treatment when i reached home so my scalp and hair is fine now. Also when the stylist was drying my hair the heat on the hair dryer is too strong it hurts my scalp and i told her three times and she just said "sorry" off-handedly but did not change the temperature (it continues to hurt my scalp so bad that i had to rub the burning feeling with my fingers in the middle) I paid £81 for the haircut and root touch up and i'm gonna have to pay more to fix this haircut mess, but it's okay i consider the money loss as throwing my bad luck for the rest of the year, my advice just stay away from this salon if you don't have good luck like me (unlike my friend) and got matched up with one of their unfriendly stylist

   Went in for cut and finish. Grace was super attentive and frequently checked with me on the progress to make sure it was what I wanted. Hair wash was gentle and comfortable. Price was fair. Would definitely recommend.

   Hollie is my go-to person when I am getting my hair cut. I always struggle between what I want and what I need. She finds a really good balance and gives the best advice every time! I have always been happy when I leave the salon. The prices are great for Sheffield, and I have always been satisfied with the service.

   I've been having my hair done at Brownes for the last 15 years. Holly is so talented and always does an amazing job colouring my hair. I've lived around the world and I've never found anywhere that matches the quality of service. Now I'm based in London I make the effort to travel to Sheffield to Brownes to get my hair done. Holly did my colours and cut for my wedding last year. I would 1000% recommend!

   I had a hair cut here a few months ago and it was amazing, a reasonable price and I left feeling amazing. I went back a few days ago to get my fringe trimmed a bit, I’m not certain who cut it, but I am now going to be wearing a hat for the next month or so. The woman who cut it went straight in way shorter than I’d asked for and completely unevenly, leaving a massive chunk on one side missing. I asked her to fix this and instead she just took the whole thing shorter (in no way fixing the damage, if anything there’s now a larger chunk missing). I’d wanted a gradual fade out from my fringe (I had a Wolf cut), I now look like Lord farquad. I was in tears by the end. They didn’t charge me, thankfully. Very disappointed and will not be going back.

   Kenzie did an amazing job colouring my hair and made it look a million times better! Reasonably priced, a nice salon, and lovely staff! And on top of that they booked me in immediately, practically no wait time! Will definitely be back!

   I’m new to Sheffield and I hadn’t had a hair cut in a long time. I rang Browne’s after a Google and reading some good reviews to try to get a last minute/short notice appointment. I managed to get booked in with Grant for two days time and I couldn’t be more happy post haircut. The service at the salon was great, and it had a lovely friendly atmosphere and I’m so pleased with my hair cut. Thank you, I will definitely book again in the future! :)
