Proper traditional pub with great quality food, good portion size and very reasonable pricing. Staff were very accommodating and friendly with nothing too much trouble. Nice quirky ecliptic mix of decoration adding loads of character which is lacking in some of the soulless neighbouring establishments. Even got a lift back to our mooring at the end of the night, what more do you need?
Good food staff are welcoming a good old fashioned pub
Five of us went for a feed drinks and some food whilst attending a wedding at a local castle and were delighted with the food quality and very reasonable. The chef should be very proud of the food and it was traditional food done very well and the desserts were massive!!
What a lovely traditional pub with lovely staff food was amazing and excellent value for money bex chef and her helper just adorable we loved our Sunday lunch today and will keep going bk had a lovely day today thanku just could not fault it Fabulous we thought Sara and Steve

Sick of presumptuous overpriced "gastro" pub food? Well I found this lovely pub today and paid a fair price for real traditional home cooked food. A great atmosphere, friendly staff and honest good food.
Lovely pub and the lunch menu was very reasonably priced and nice. Ales were nice also.
