Overall this is a wonderful feel good pub. Staff lovely, beers good and place spotless but still welcoming. Very pleasant and helpful regulars. My only minor complaint is that the drinks are a tad pricey but excellent choices.
Nicely furnished pub but bar staff look totally disinterested and unwelcoming. Not even a “thank you”. The Brit has much more friendly and welcoming staff.
Really enjoy this pub. Went along to take part in Quiz night which is every Thursday and have to say that Richard does the place proud as he keeps things interesting with his wit. Also discovered he's a good entertainer as he also appeared on Sunday playing a guitar and singing. Staff are very friendly and helpful and like I said, quiz night is so much fun!
Lovely pub decor wise, but the drinks are way too expensive. Sorry would like to be able to visit more often but need a second mortgage for a night out. Plus don't do bottles or cans of coke.
Having not visited The White Lion for decades we were invited to a christening reception recently. The pub has been extensively refurbished throughout to a high standard. Drinks are good, and the staff are also welcoming and helpful. Limited car parking is available at one side of the pub, and a small public car park is on the other side.
