Excellent service and prices. Was very happy with the delivery as access with the lorry was difficult, they had fork lift truck back up.
Building supplies at reasonable cost and have used timber from here for some work, most trade skilled people i have used prefer products from here for garden and home building materials. Delivery is on point and provide good service.

Have used A.W Lumb a few times over the years and always found them good. However, on this occasion they have come in well below sub standard. An order I placed included 3 packs of Indian Sandstone Paving. When it arrived I noticed it was thinner than what was sold to me and was not fit for purpose. I requested a refund. Was promised collection within 5 days. 10 days later and I still had the crates stuck in way preventing progress on the job. I sent an email to prompt collection, it took a further 2 days to collect. I have chased my refund 3 times now. First I was told by a rude member of staff that I had to wait 10 to 14 working days before accounts could process my refund. I have patiently waited. After 15 working days I called again. This time I was told it was the responsibility of the “lads on the till to process refunds”. Was patched through to the “ lads on the till” and told they have to check with transport but they would ring me back the same day to sort out. No phone call came. I called again the following day to be told the same, again no phone call came. So here I am 37days after I requested the return over £1100 accruing interest on my card, with a load of broken promises and not one apology for supply of poor products. Won’t be dealing with this company again and to any existing or prospective customers beware. They might deliver once or twice but when you need to return something the customer service just isn’t there!
I only called in with a delivery but the staff were very helpful and friendly!
What an absolute false, smarmy, know-it-all salesmen. The 'better than the rest' attitude is not needed what so ever. There are plenty of better builders merchants out there. The cheapest product has the poorest quality. Very displeased! I will not be returning. Buy at your own risk.
