   Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere as soon as we walked in, didnt wait long to be served drinks and ordered food also. Food arrived quickly and it was delicious, staff couldn’t do enough for us. Great place to go to , will definately come back here next time we are in chester .

   Tbh I really liked this pub till I went in today. My second pint of San Miguel tasted musty but I wasn't totally sure until 1/2 the pint had been drunk and we don't like to complain. But on returning the pint was asked if I wanted something different I said yeah and on receipt I was surprised to find that I was being charged for it. That is a massive liberty considering the price of a medium glass of wine and 1 pint was 14£ something. I wasn't making it up.... Anyway under duress the bar person accepts that I pay for 1/2 pint which I did. Also the chicken wings I had were under cooked. Honestly is it rocket science to get the pub thing right? Don't think so. Won't be coming here again which is a shame.

   We were passing and wanted a meal. We were warmly greeted and quickly served. The beer and wine were excellent. We chose what we wanted from the menu which was served in reasonable time. The food was freshly cooked and good quality. The staff were all excellent.

   Me & my husband after searching for a long time looking for somewhere to eat- came across this quaint little pub. It was perfect for what we were looking for! We ordered wings to share and steak for the mains, which was hot, fresh and a good generous portion. After eating, we decided to order more drinks and sit in the beer garden. We couldn’t fault the place at all. I would definitely come here again should we visit Chester. Thank you ☺️

   Another visit lunch time ,the pulled pork baguette and home made chips were tasty as ever , service was quick and friendly.Great pub ,few steps to gain access,you walk into the bar where their are tables and chairs for dining and just a drink, their are other rooms in the back,food was excellent and good portion size , steak pie was really nice , reasonable price too

   The pub was pleasant, comfortable, warm and well lit. Plenty of room to sit and although the bar was busy service was prompt and friendly. there was a good range of beers, cask, keg and bottle as well as a great range of soft drinks and nice choice on the top shelf. The food menu was extensive and although it was late in the day and over the holiday period only a couple of the dishes were unavailable. Food was served promptly and of a great quality.

   Lovely traditional pub. I had surf and turf and steak was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Homemade chips were amazing. Good price too. Would definitely go back if visiting the area again.
