I can’t speak highly enough of this nursery – my experience with them has been nothing but positive from the very start. The staff are incredibly patient, understanding, and kind, especially as my child took a little longer than most to settle in. They made every effort to help him feel comfortable and confident, keeping me updated throughout the process, which really put my mind at ease. Every member of staff I’ve encountered has been polite, friendly, and genuinely caring. The environment feels warm, welcoming, and safe, and it’s clear that the children are their top priority. I’ve noticed how much my child has grown in confidence and happiness since joining. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive place for their child

This was the most nurturing and loving environment to send both my children to. Every member of staff genuinely cared and bonded with my children. Every element of my children’s development was considered and they flourished. Even now, when my children have gone to school and preschool, I can see the positive influence of the staff and the approach of fisherfield nursery. My children grew up loving and wanting to emulate the staff who they thought were heroes and princesses.

Our little boy started at Fisherfield at 9.5 months old. The settling in process was invaluable not least for his mum easing into passing him over to someone else. Anna and Shammy in particular were amazing helping getting him settled, we had no issues with the handovers from the off. He’s never been very good at napping during the day, this was true during settling in, too. This had us worried for when he started full days. When he did start doing full days however he slotted right in and is napping consistently. He even did 3 naps one day, which he’s not done for months. He’s having a great time at nursery and is happy at drop off and pick up. The nursery provides updates on sleep, meals and some activities during the day via the parent zone app; this has been great to see whilst we have been in work. Based on our experience I would recommend Fisherfield to anyone.

Our daughter started at Fisherfield Nursery last September after receiving many recommendations from other parents. She has done a full year there now and we couldn't recommend it enough. She settled in wonderfully, and we feel so reassured by the care and attention she receives. The staff are approachable and accommodating, always ready to address any questions we have. It's been lovely to receive daily updates, including photos of her happily participating in various activities. We have also had the opportunity to spend time with her in nursey during special events that they have held. She is thriving, and it’s clear that the nursery provides a nurturing and engaging environment for her to do so.

Having just been through the settling in process I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Such an individual child-centred approach, lots of kindness and patience to make the process as smooth and painless as possible. My son has needed more time than others and the team have been faultless at every hurdle; knowing when to encourage him to push through his comfort zone and equally when he just needed mum. The staff are all so lovely and clearly care deeply for the children, I am happy with our childcare choice and feel confindent to recommend.

Fisherfields really is a top class nursery and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for our son. It’s so easy to see that they love him and he loves them, whether it’s Megan, Elisha or Shammy in his room, or the rest of the lovely staff. My son has developed so much since being there and we can tell how much he enjoys it too. We get updates and pictures every day and have even had chance to watch our son play in his room with the team, which reassured us even more. Thank you for everything so far!

Fisherfield farm is amazing I visited a few nurseries for my 2 year old son but wasn’t pleased with them at all. I was so happy and lucky to find a place like Fisherfield farm as they have a very warm inviting and welcoming culture which was very important to me when I was choosing a nursery for my son . We had some issues regarding him settling in and eating at nursery as he was very clingy and would not be comfortable with anyone apart from his household members, but the staff made it so supportive and nurturing and provided him so much care and positivity that he is so happy there now-feels like a second home to him. He thoroughly enjoys his time at nursery and has made a strong bond with all the staff members. All of the staff members are super efficient n always happy to help. Daily feedback is great .every morning n evening you are greeted with smiling faces. They provide all the information regarding his eating habits, sleep, playtime and activities he enjoyed. They are all so friendly and warm that I can see a massive uplift in his happiness. The updates at the end of the day really shows that the staff genuinely cares n takes time to get to know the child and his character. I am hugely grateful and can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a nursery in that area and feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy place for my son .

Nursery have been amazing with my little boy. He started when he was 10months, he is now 14 months and thriving. He absolutely loves going. The staff worked very hard to ensure that he was settled before staring full time. I personally found that the settling in process was very good, my son was able to make short visits a couple of times a week which gradually built up as his start date approached. This ensured that he was completely familiar with the staff and setting and I didn’t feel like I was leaving my baby with strangers. They really worked hard to make sure he was ready. This was all covered with a very affordable deposit too. I am regularly updated with my son’s meals, naps and pictures of what he’s up to which is lovely to see. Staff have always been very helpful with any questions I’ve had and nothing is ever too much for them. I really can’t fault the nursery in anyway. It’s brilliant and I’m so glad I picked it for my son. It is definitely the best nursery in the area!

My son has been attending Fisherfield Childcare, The School House since September 2022. At this time he was just under 2 and half years old. My son hadn’t been to a nursery setting before and being a Covid baby he had spent most of his life being around me and his family. This obviously gave me a cause of concern on how he would ultimately settle with unfamiliar people. Despite getting off to a great start and my son happily waving me away during his settling in sessions, the penny eventually dropped that this was a permanent routine for him. This sadly resulted in tears and distress during handover in the morning. I can’t thank the staff members enough who persevered with my son to ensure he was settled in time for my start date at a new job. Fast forward 4 months he is thriving at this nursery, in fact, during the Christmas half term he was asking me when he was seeing Amy, Sarah, Lauren, Merrish and Shammy who he now sees as his friends! It’s lovely to see the bond he has formed with these women who I trust completely. The only minor issue is there being no facility to leave any pushchairs on the premises. This creates a problem for those parents like me, who don’t drive. Especially those parents with younger children who are unable to walk for a significant distance. However, this is a small price to pay for my child to attend the only local nursery with an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted report. It is a wonderful nursery and the staff are amazing. I love the updates on ParentZone where I get to see him enjoying himself and to keep me informed of his progress. Highly recommend! :)

Rollback a year or two ago, and we had all just come out of lockdown. My partner and I chose Fisherfield as a place to send our 1 year old son to Nursery. We depended on them taking him in, to ensure we could both get back to work independently. We tried ‘settling-in’ sessions and were told it would be 10 minutes at a time initially, then essentially doubling up the time until he was doing full hours. 3 MONTHS LATER he had gone up to 2 hours at best. Every time they calling us to collect him, saying he was crying and distressed. This caused severe disruption to our working routine. Our employers wanted concrete answers as to when we would be available to return to work, and we could not confirm this due to Fisherfield failing to settle our child in efficiently. Of course we wanted our child to be happy, but we feel Fisherfield could have used smoother techniques to ensure the process was successful and quick. I’m not saying it was all Fisherfields’ fault, maybe there was an element of post-covid anti separation anxiety. But I write this review now, with a son who is now almost 2 years into his current time at another nursery and I regret not going with said company sooner. Instead of desperately waiting with Fisherfield. They settled him in within a week and the process went so efficiently. So all I can take from this, is Fisherfield were doing something wrong. We both felt the management only wanted older children with no issues, and didn’t want the effort of minding new toddlers. I’m sure some parents will have had positive experiences with Fisherfield, but ours were definitely not, and I write this review to warn other parents against problems such as those I have encountered.
