Didn't eat just in for a dart match. Good atmosphere and bar staff friendly.

Started food service yesterday (14/06/24). Food looks OK (I didn't try it on this occasion) and is a decent price. The problem is that the empty/half empty plates and glasses are just left without anyone clearing them away. The dropped food is left smeared on the outside tables, so when you rest your elbows they get covered in sticky, staining food, if the food is on the benches your clothes are doomed. There is no bin in the outside area, so things just get thrown on the floor or stuffed down the gaps in the tables. I like this pub and the bar staff. The food could be a success, but not without the landlord or the person doing the food getting their act together. Provide a bin in the outside area. Clean the tables so people dont get their clothes covered in sticky goo. Collect the empty plates/glasses. You cant run a dump and serve food. It wont work. I would definitely go again as I'd like to try the grub. But if the gaff wasn't clean I'd just walk out and go over the road. In saying that, I hope its a success.

Would have given no stsrs What rude staff especially girl with black hair and glasses. Shouting accusingly at a customer for no reason. And thug about 6 weeks ago attacking someone getting them to the floor.not even told to leave? Wont be visiting again unsafe .

Very tired looking place. Prices more expensive than The Royal Standard which is opposite and a lot nicer.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Good beer garden, selection of beers and lagers. I attended a wake here and a delicious, ample buffet was served.

Bar staff Rude! I was attending a Wake andI ordered our first drink that we were told was free. The bar lady said this is finished now you have to pay in a rude way. I have no problem paying but it was the attitude of the bar maid. I won’t be back.
