Do these "local only" pubs realise they're closing down e everyday...? Bit tatty, not a great selection of beers an bored bar staff

We went to Hooton Arms after a hospital appointment at Eastham Hall for a drink lovely country pub kind reseption has a beer garden out front and seating in the yard.
1st time visiting this pub ,such a gem of a place, friendly staff ,went to watch the match and the service was spot on.lovely wine too.they even did snacks before the footy .Will be back .thankyou for a lovely evening.
