Amazing classes and great teachers!! Currently doing beginners ballroom and Latin dance classes and Tony and Pat are the loveliest people! I have so much fun every week. I couldnโ€™t recommend it more, especially if youโ€™ve never danced before and just want to test it out. I guarantee that youโ€™ll keep coming back (like I did).

I could not recommend this dance studio more if I tried. Pat and Tony offer a fantastic introduction into dancing where you will learn quickly and make some good friends along the way. We enjoyed our 6 week beginners ballroom course so much so that we have signed onto the 2nd course. Itโ€™s clear that Tony and Pat are passionate about dance and their lovely studio and it shows in how they teach - clearly, effectively and kindly. The classes encourage swapping partners which allows for you to learn with a whole manner of people ranging in dancing level. We have made some great friends through this studio and I can say that our classes on a Wednesday night are one the highlights of my week.

We have completed our first 6 week Beginners course recently and after the first session we knew we would be signing up for the next course. Tony and Pat are fabulous teachers and they make the classes relaxed and very enjoyable. The classes are social and the attendees are all lovely. The sessions are clear and well structured and are definitely accessible for a complete beginner (which we were when we started). There is a real community feel to Topaz, people attend the lessons both as a couple and solo and everyone is very welcoming to all abilities. We hope to move up to the next level when we finish this course!

I finished one of the 6 week adult beginner Ballroom & Latin classes and immediately signed up for the next block! Pat and Tony are both so friendly and welcoming - Wednesday nights have quickly become my favourite of the week! Theyโ€™re really patient teachers who always check weโ€™re happy and ready to progress onto the next steps. I love how social the classes are - as someone who came alone & didnโ€™t have a partner, itโ€™s so nice to move around the room and dance with new partners every time - Iโ€™ve met some lovely friends here already. This has also given me the chance to dance with both teachers and more experienced dancers to get some extra tips! Canโ€™t wait to keep dancing here!

I have been to exactly one class at this dance school, on 15/10/25. It was a beginner's class, the first of a prepaid course of 6. I found the class far too overcrowded, and as such the learning experience was significantly impacted. In other words, I was getting danced off the edge of the dance floor by other (beginner) dancers. Initially I thought it was becase I was taking steps that were too big, and when I tried to take smaller steps I was bumped into by other dancers. I appreciate that this review comes off the back of one dance class. I usually give establishments more than one chance, however - I will not be returning because the courses are prepaid and hence I do not expect the class to get any less crowded. I also felt like the class was too fast paced and the learners didn't have a chance to practice independently (even for a short time) when taught something new. I am not sure whether this is due to the overcrowding or the teaching style, but either way I feel like it impacted my experience in a significant way. Maybe I'm just bad at dancing, but somehow I don't feel that this is the case, I've been part of a traditional dance troupe for around 7 years when I was young and I know a thing or two about dance teaching, albeit not ballroom.

Wouldnโ€™t recommend if you just want your kids to go as a hobby . Found the place very clicky with the other parents and a lot of the teachers think theyโ€™re on strictly . They put a neck brace on my girl to keep her head straight in one lesson . She begged me not to take her back after that . Melissa is great but the others need a lesson in how to speak to children Response: This is definitely the Stretford one and you did have a teacher called Melissa who was great! Iโ€™ve seen another negative review on yell which looks about right or maybe they got the wrong place too?

Very welcoming, supportive and friendly dance school with a great sense of community. Both group classes and individual lessons are really enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The topaz family are dream makers, tell them your hopes and they'll help you get there with the same aspirations of achieving it as you do, perhaps more so, they're those rare kind of people, wether your a beginner, trying to get better or exceptional their interest and commitment to your development is the same every time. Personally? With topaz as our partners there's no limit to how far we want to go any more.

I am so enjoying the dance course I booked. It is an absolute bargain. Professional, light hearted and fun. Real mix of people and I would recommend this to anyone. Lovely venue and everyone is in the same boat - just give it a go.
