Always busy on the matches..very close to stadium. Next door to shop facing bus stop. Pints decent prices..little bit rough around the edges but what do u want. Its not a gastro bar in the city centre. Probably nicer places for sure but it is what is..never stayed in rooms so can't comment..have a look around to compare what your looking for..

A rough place. If it were not the only pub nearby providing match day livestream, I would never been there! Poor hygiene. You can clearly see the glasses are not fully cleaned. The security is shockingly rude, even speaking F words to customers! You will be reminded to buy a drink at once after entering, and then be forced to buy a second drink, otherwise you will be threatened to leave. This pub stains the image of the Anfield to both tourists and fans.

Deeply disappointed — discriminatory and unwelcoming experience I visited The Twelfth Man on the day of the Liverpool vs Manchester United match this season. As a football fan, I came hoping to enjoy the atmosphere and watch the game on the screen since I didn’t have a ticket. I bought a Diet Coke (I just got recovered from a flu, so I can't drink alcohol then) immediately after entering and sat down quietly to watch the match. About fifteen minutes later, a tall white man with all black outfit around 40 years old, who claimed to be a security guard, suddenly came up to me and rudely demanded that I give up my seat for him. He was not wearing any uniform or badge. When I asked why, he said it was “his seat” and threatened that he could easily throw me out. Several local customers sided with him, which made me feel shocked, isolated, and deeply unwelcome. Later, after I had finished my drink and returned the empty cup to the bar, the same man came again, insisting that I must buy another drink or leave. This was ridiculous, as many others were sitting with empty glasses but were not asked to do the same. When I asked to speak to the manager, I explained that I had just finished my Coke and would buy another later because I felt too full at the moment. Only then did the manager (a woman) say that I could stay. This entire incident made me feel humiliated and targeted because of my race. The behaviour of this so-called security guard was openly aggressive and discriminatory, and the manager’s passive response showed a lack of fairness and professionalism. As someone who has lived in the UK for over four years and visited many pubs, I have never been treated with such disrespect. What should have been an enjoyable football-watching experience turned into an upsetting reminder that racial prejudice still exists. I truly hope the management investigates this incident seriously, provides proper staff training, and ensures that The Twelfth Man becomes a place where every customer — regardless of background — feels welcome and respected.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love it here. Feels like home and everyone is so warm and welcoming. 10/10 recommend even if you can only go for game day pints - they’re a pub worth supporting!

Complete disaster. I don't recommend anyone! It was a nightmare, completely disaster!! Me and my boyfriend were bitten by bedbugs. After 1 hour of sleeping, we had a lot of bedbugs bites and the owner didn't help us. He claimed that he didn't have any free rooms so we could look for a room ourselves and he would give us money back in the morning. To this day (11th day after the accident) we haven't received a refund. And my boyfriend got a rash from bedbugs bites. Sleepless night, bedbugs bites, lost money... I don't recommend it to anyone
