   I've not been in here for a very long time, I think I started coming here in the early seventies. If I remember correctly it was originally a Tetley Walker pub and you can see from the decorative detail in the mirrors and wood panels that a lot of money was put into it when it was constructed many years ago. It's not really changed one bit as far as I can remember in the last 50 years. It's a very large pub with a large bar with a good selection of beers with helpful staff. Because of it's size there always seems to be plenty of comfortable seating all the way around the walls which is something you don't see in a lot of new build up pubs.

   Visited with a group of friends recently, on a Monday afternoon as it was recommended for it's internal decor, which did not disappoint. Personally it felt like the kind of pub, that would attract a 'different' clientele and be much busier on a weekend evening, and more power to them for that.

   Fantastic night here, staff are so attentive and welcoming. Kate even made me a special cocktail which they never served but she went out od her way for me. Would highly recommend this place

   Just back from Liverpool and found this pub on a walk. Proper boozer full of characters and a blazing fire. The lady behind the bar was great, very friendly. Great range of drinks. We enjoyed it so much we returned on two further days. Loved it.

   Staying in the Adagio because we like the area... Went to go into this bar, a group of 6 refused entry because of a 'private' party. Didn't realise they pick and choose when they want to allow customers in.

   Great pub service was fantastic I have sticks and drinks were carried to my table without asking. A tad expensive but it is the center of pool so I guess it is what it is. Still a great stop whilst my Mrs went around MORE shops haha

   when we were courting some 30 years ago this was our meet you in town pub on a Friday evening place ......first time back four weeks ago had a great time ..karaoke was on what a laugh we had although there is still some great hidden talent in Liverpool still ! great atmosphere nice people ..great staff and reasonable drinks prices ..if your coming to Liverpool at least have one drink here ..if the karaokes on you'll probably stay all night .
