Enjoyed the food and football at the pub for the first time recently. The friendly, lively atmosphere as we sat down made the experience enjoyable, and the multitude of TVs in good positions makes watching sport easy, no matter where you're sitting. This would be one of the main reasons I would return regularly, as some pubs have too few or unsatisfactory TVs. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, with a good deal on the mains. Staff were extremely friendly and interactive during the pub quiz later in the afternoon. Seemed to have plenty of weekly social events as well, which I will check out as I start going more regularly. The pool table was also a big plus for me as it enhances every pub session. The table was in good condition, and it was easy to get cues from the staff. I've noticed too many pubs are removing their pool tables, so it was nice to see this pub still has a quality one for us to play on. I preferred that the pub wasn't too crowded, even when the football was on. I saw this as a positive thing, as it means you can get a decent seat even on a Saturday evening, unlike some. I strongly recommend it to any sports fan who loves a pub with good food and friendly staff. I will definitely be returning.

Booked a table for 5.30pm, there wasn't actually a reserved table so were told to sit anywhere which was fine. Place was very quiet when we ordered our food but it took 35-40minutes for it to arrive. Food was decent, standard pub food but good nonetheless. It was a bit unpleasant people smoking right outside the open door so the smell waffed in, in future would pick a table way far away from the doors. Husband had chicken burger with katsu curry sauce on his chips, 8/10. I had the maccaroni and cheese with added chicken, was a bit suprised the chicken was just put on top and not cooked with the dish but it tasted alight 7/10.

The staff was attentive and the Sunday Roast was delicious. We had the beef and the turkey and both were well cooked. The atmosphere is calm on a sunday. I would definitely recommend this place!

Booked table but employee forgot to put it down so no table for 15 manager managed to find a place and put some tables together after an hours wait for food it came, no sauces with steaks, chips hard in the middle, chicken burnt, food at table but no cutlery, other items ordered and paid for did not arrive. Was offered a refund and round of drinks but it was never about the money so didn't get it by this point the night was ruined as we were there to celebrate a birthday.... Never again very poor

Disappointed as a very limited menu choice for non-meat eater. Loud club themed music playing in dining area - why?? Food was served quickly and ok. For a real ale drinker no choice available. Will not be returning anytime soon
