Another fab night in the eagle and crown last night. Great atmosphere, friendly customers and the best bar staff, go above and beyond. Pete n Stan were fab as was Leah, thanks for a brilliant bank holiday weekend!! X
This pub is OK, but it could be si much better. The staff were really nice but tended to gravitate to one side of the bar. With what appeared to be the regular customers. Which is great when no one else needs serving. I noticed that a few older ladies had to walk all the way round the bar from a back room in order to get served and then back again with full glasses. This could have been prevented if the bar staff actively checked the whole bar and not just where they are standing or at least offer to serve the drinks at the other side of the bar so they didn't have to carry them back again. It feels abit intimidating when you first walk in because people(customers) just stare at you without looking away, maybe it would be easier if the staff just said hello to ease this because once you are in it really is a really nice place. Down to earth and enjoyable.

Great pub ! I've not long moved to the area and have been meaning to pop in ! We went last night for my birthday drinks where there was a great singer on and a great atmosphere ! The Owner/Manager spoke to us where I learnt the pub was dog friendly! We will definitely be back again. Thanks for a great night
Called in on a monday, in the middle of a noisey bingo session. The clients were friendly, didn't stay long.
